Christina Perri will perform her haunting “A Thousand Years” song live from the Breaking Dawn Soundtrack on the Ellen Show tomorrow, Wednesday 12/14/11!

She’ll be appearing with main guest Charlize Theron, and it promises to be a riveting performance. The song is definitely one of my favorites from the Breaking Dawn Part 1 Soundtrack, and perhaps even one of my favorites from all The Twilight Saga soundtracks!

It is the last song at the end of the credits. You have to watch all the way through to hear it.

Yeah but I had hoped that we could have heard it through the movie, not in the credits. This song plus It Will Rain were hyped up so much and they kind of let me down because you only heard like five seconds of It Will Rain when Edward and Bella were getting ready to leave for their honeymoon.

Someone on an earlier post said it was played during the credits. Well so we Bruno Mars’ song, but at least we got to hear that song for a good five seconds *rolls eyes* during the actual movie. Lame.I wanted to hear more of both songs. Especially since there was so much hype about them being on the soundtrack.

Grrrr I hate that they put both It Will Rain and A Thousand Years in the credits I wish they would have put them in the movie because who waits for the credits I mean come on people leave duh…

They should have put It Will Rain either in the 2nd movie or the 1st one where Edward and Bella have a fight about her decision about having the baby A Thousand Years in 1st when Edward and Bella go on their honeymoon!!!!!

I didn’t hear it either does anyone know when it was played. I wanted it during the wedding but they played that turning page song… none of the songs were where i wanted them to be.

It’s played in the movie when Bella is going to walk down the aisle, but it is an instrumental version of this song…

I love this soundtrack! It is my second favorite next to Twilight’s soundtrack. There are about 5 songs (hidden gems as I like to call them) that just take you right back to the emotion of the scene in the movie. There are a few I could do with out, but I am always happy for just a few great ones. ’1000 Years’ is so beautiful and for the first time an artist that is also a fan wrote a song that really delivers the emotion between Bella and Edward. I was bummed to not hear it in the movie. However, the song ‘Turning Page’ by Sleeping At Last that is played as Bella walks down the aisle… and during the love making is PERFECT for both scenes. It is SO amazingy perfect, it is so true to Bella and Edward’s love. I just love his voice. I was so happy that this song was used over any Bruno Mars ridiculousness (I’m sorry but that song and music video was a joke) . I pasted the lyrics below to ‘Turning Page’ so you could see for yourself!

i love the song.. its as if bella is singing the first part of the song and edward is singing the second part after the chorus.. how the lyrics truly reflects bella and edward’s love for each other.. brilliant job christina perri!

Oh ouch ouch, I really feel for her, because she is SO flat on the Jimmy Kimmel performance. I’m thinking either she was having a hard time with a lost voice and pushing really hard to get sound out and just not making it, or she couldn’t hear her band. I’m hoping that’s the case and not that she’s just a poor singer. I really doubt that as she seems to have great technique, and she is consistently under pitch (meaning she might have been hearing her band a half step down consistently or something). Poor Christina. I wish they’d let artists cancel when they lose their voices as that’s my best guess about what happened here.

Haven’t heard the Ellen performance yet, but I hope she got a chance to redeem herself. : (

Here’s the Ellen performance, and though it’s better and they clearly did things to help her with her ailing voice (cutting the song short, supporting her as much as possible with a harmony singer, etc.), it’s obvious to my ears (I’m a vocal coach btw) that she has a very hurt voice! Poor thing is probably recovering from bad cold or the flu. She still did an amazing job considering what she had to work with. It’s like seeing someone run a race on a sprained ankle…
