Oh yes, Ectasy, it is starting and 23 are ready !!!!!!!!@! Last year we enjoyed Twilight Tuesdays in the weeks preceding the release of BD1. Each Tuesday my BFF and BD Buddy would meet to watch the movies starting with Twilight and then the following week they aired New Moon etc. Each week the movies were introduced by a member of the cast and some back stage info. It really helped lead up to the big night !

  • MissN.Gravety.Magnet.Satellite

Oh, we’ve done this since two years back .. and now when It’s the last movie they have decided only to show breaking dawn.. Sweden , a country that always sucks:( I hope you all will enjoy and take care of eachother. This is our last adventure together, in our beloved. . twilight world.

I just set the above picture as my new wallpaper and it sized beautifully. Although I am super charged about this movie I have to admit that I am so going to miss my friends on this site. What a evening of mixed emotions this is going to be.

I’m not sure if I’m going to the marathon. For the past few years I’ve been invited to premieres in Amsterdam of these movies, as I have been to The Hunger Games premiere, and it was amazing. Though, normally I would get a letter about 3 months in advantage and since I still haven’t heard about it yet I might go to the marathon after all.

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

I went to Twilight Tues last, it was the 1st time I was able to do that. It was awesome to have a Twilight movie to look forward every Tue leading up to seeing BD at the MN showing. it will be sad that this will be the last one.:-(

  • lionandlambuk

i hope that they will do this again in the uk they did it last yr fingers crossed

  • irrevocablysue

I’m not even going to get excited over this. These things never come up to Northeast Wisconsin, so it doesn’t pay.

  • Pam T4ever

have done it every year and will be there again with my Twilight gear. We are going all out this year. Sooooo can’t wait!!

  • Amanda Depies

You Should Start Off At The Beigning. With Twilight, New Moon ….. Then Ending With BD Part 2. Now Thats What I Call A Marathon.

  • leahreallyitis

I am happy they are having another twilight tuesday it will be so sad too see it all end but I understand why and it is like graduation it’s time too explore other things and this cast has really come into their own and I am so proud of them :D

hmm it is a cool idea for fans who have the energy for that sort of thing. Even though I have been a major movies fan for more than a decade sitting through 5 movies for 10 hours would be too much for me. It would exhaust me too much and I couldnt really enjoy each movie as much as I would want. 2 or 3 in a row is not a problem for me but after that it starts to exhaust me. especially in a crammed theater where all you can do is sit still wedged between other people. And doing that for 10 hours? my respect for everyone who can do that and still be able to fully enjoy the film (especially the last one)

Nah I will do my own DVD marathon instead. Twilight and New Moon on one day, Eclipse and BD 1 on the next and the day after that BD Part 2. That way I can watch them, lying stretched out on my bed, can pause whenever I need and start and finish them on my own schedule. And I can fully enjoy each film.

The really cool thing? Breaking Dawn Part 2 is officially released on November 16 – which happens to be my 30th birthday :)

  • leahreallyitis

    oh yeah I agree :P

  • Sylvia

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m gonna be there again. I went last year and had a blast! So far we are 5 attending the marathon this year!

  • Sylvia

That is how the marathon was done last year, beginning with Twilight and ending with BD part 1. I’m assuming it will be the same this time around!

  • Sylvia

Den U. I did the marathon last year, yest I sat thru all 4 movies, it was great, didn’t get tired at all, and I was at work from 8am-12 noon, then went to see the marathon. Doing again this year, woohoo! I’m 55 and felt like a teenager again!

Dont forget to bring an oxygen tent and life support :P

  • http://twitter.com/William_Spike Den U.

Try watching all 23 James Bond films back to back when Skyfall is released in November :P Now thats a marathon lol

  • Krystal

I wonder what time it will start?? Any thoughts? I can’t remember what time it started last year. I’m student teaching, so I went be done till at least 3pm or later. (Taking off Friday of course!)

  • leahreallyitis

how about a portable oxygen tank and mask oh and don’t forget the supply of inhalers LMAO!

  • D. Martin

    Isn’t this Renesmee’s birthday?

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

Its all apart of the Twilight experience, especially if you can’t go to the premiere. Its the last time this will ever happen and and make the most of it.

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

I really didn’t enjoy the Twilight Tues as much, their were only 4 or 5 other people in huge Rave theater rm and was a little anticlimatic. I did make friends with them and sat with them the rest of the Tues. but I would do the Tues again even if they had them again. The marathons always draw the crowds an look way more fun.

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

Are you serious? Thats just not right. You should call your local theater.

Why is this happening only in the US! Fans from other countries want to enjoy all five movies too :(

last year in Israel there was a marathon like that too.
it was all the movie and then part one at midnight. i didnt got the chancew to go but if its gonna be this year again im gonna go for sure :D

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/laramasen Mary Masen

Wow!! That’s 10 HOURS of sitting in the theater. It will be tiring, but I’m definitely going!! It’s THE LAST Twilight Marathon *sniff* <3

  • VILF

Love! I’ve done this every year, and my friends make a big deal out of it! Can’t wait to end it in style this year! Its SO nice, because by the last movie, everyone has gotten their hoots and hollers out of them, and are completely quiet and enjoy the movie.

  • http://twitter.com/William_Spike Den U.

so you are saying that if you dont watch Twilight marathons in theaters you dont have a Twilight experience? Isnt that kind of demeaning to other fans who just prefer watching them at home alone or with friends? And when there were only one or two films in the saga did that mean that you couldnt get a Twilight expperience until there were three or four you could watch back to back?

    Sorry but …no. Just no.

Also no offense but personally I can do without the teenage girl screaming-track during the films. which is why I watch the late night screenings. Much less screaming kids in the audience and more adult fans :P

  • http://twitter.com/taynita Anita

Hey!! Does anyone know when the actual LA premiere (red carpet) for BD2 is? I want to get my tickets but don’t know when it is!? lol IM SO EXCITED!!!! :D

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

No to each their on. For some watching it at home is fine. But it isn’t same the experience that one has going to the theater, all the build up to the movie, the waiting in line with everyone and talking about what Twilight has meant to them and finally seeing with a crowd of obsessed Twi-hard’s like myself, thats all a part of the fun. Its not for everyone, hopefully the teenagers won’t scream to loud, but I’ll see it again and again anyway.

  • twihard4life

we usually do the marathon for every movie. it doesn’t matter how early or how late. We are there with bells on!!! we get dressed up and the whole nine. it’s a blast and the only way to see the new movie premiere, and now to get to see the BDpt 2 before the rest is even cooler. i’m afraid that that means we’ll have to start the first movie at like 10am though which means getting to the thearter around 8am! whoo that’s early but my group of 12 wouldn’t miss it for the world!!!

  • crushable.com

EVERYBODY GO TO CRUSHABLE.COM!!!! REALLY CONFUSED RIGHT NOW!!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/William_Spike Den U.

Maybe we have a misunderstanding. I am not gonna do a Twilight marathon in theaters but I will watch BD Part 2 in theaters. Ofc its an entirely different experience in theaters. But that goes for every movie that is a great spectacle. I mean like Avengers. Watching that film on the big screen with so many other fans and geeking out together and laughing together while the gigantic imagery of the film nearly blew my brain up in 3D was one of the greatest movie-experiences of my life. Same goes for watching Star Wars, Twilight, Avatar or Lord of the Rings on the big screen. Its an entirely different level of experience watching films like that in theater. I was never questioning that.

I meant that you dont have to watch a Twilight marathon in theaters to enjoy the Twilight experience. You can also just watch the first four films with friends at home and then experience BD Part 2 in theaters. You still have the “enjoying a new Twi-film with fans on the big screen” experience then.

Of course if you have the patience and energy for that you can do the marathon thing in theaters. seeing all 5 films on the big screen is quite an experience I am sure. Like it was when they did the Star Wars marathon in 2005 (all 6 films) which was personally attended by George Lucas. And I think they even did a Harry Potter marathon with all 8 films in 2011.

But personally if I am watching films with friends that I have seen before (and them too) I love to talk to them about special scenes when they come up. Obviously you cant do that in a theater since you disturb others and cant just pause the film whenever you like.
