Summit Entertainment Clears Up Some Of The Breaking Dawn Rumors!

Summit Entertainment issued a press release today, clearing up some of the Breaking Dawn rumors that have been going around -

1) There is only one casting director working on THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN films right now – Deborah Zane. As of right now no local auditions are being held. If Deborah’s name is not attached to it in some form or another, it is not legitimate. She is also not putting out nationwide casting notices. Once again – as was the case with NEW MOON and ECLIPSE – any ads you see are completely false. She has set up an e-mail address specifically for casting inquiries ([email protected]).

2) Lexicon touched base regarding a rumor about Renesmee’s name changing in BREAKING DAWN. It is FALSE.

3) Twi Examiner asked about Riley’s appearance in BREAKING DAWN because it was listed on Xavier’s IMDb page. Riley will not appear in the BREAKING DAWN films. It is a rumor.

Remember guys — don’t believe everything you read on the Internet, especially when it comes to casting! I feel really bad for whose who have been scammed in the past . Thank you Summit for clearing that up

haha I KNOW SERIOUSLY! thats strange that they would make an email just for the casting director…because we OBVIOUSLY are going to be blowing up her inbox asking her if we can be in the movie in a number of ways (my personal preference would be rob’s personal umbrella holder, just sayin)

I have not heard of this one before, but interesting that they are doing an email for casting. Do they have a list somewhere? What are the rules? Are they just picking random people or would it be existing actors that have experience? Hmmmmm very interesting!

I don’t know. It just seems odd to me that they would release the casting director’s email. Don’t they know that person’s inbox will implode??!!??!!

But if it’s true, maybe I’ll audition for Siobhan or Maggie – I’m Irish-American and I can do a mean Irish accent. HAHAHAHA

Shouldnt they, by now, be finding actors to play all the other vampires? Tanya, kate, garett, irina, benjamin, maggie, siobhan. Theyre pretty important even though minor characters.
They need to get the other vamps in to train them for the “fight training scenes”. Training starts pretty soon. GET A MOVE ON WITH THE CASTING!

What also annoys me is that the Alaskan veggies havent even been mentioned in any of the films.
The day of bellas wedding: “Oh hey bella we forgot to tell you theres another family of vegetarian vampires who we’re friends with but we didnt tell you about it until now. They didnt help us fight the newborns because irina wants to kill jacob because he killed laurent who irina got involved with. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!”

It was kind of obvious that “Riley” would not be in Breaking Dawn- he’s not in the book, and Summit and the directors have been very good about keeping it true to the book. IMDB is like Wikipedia, but not quite as monitored- anyone can post stuff on it. Since the character of Riley is dead, like REALLY, finally, dead, then it wouldn’t make sense! (Although I guess he could be in Bella’s dreams or something, since she has ALOT of those in the final book!) Glad that Summit is clearing up some things…it’s true, you can’t believe anything you read online!

I’m worried that scene is gonna get cut. The whole “Guardian” thing is probably gonna be skipped over just like the Motorcycle and Alice’s car..

Hey if you look really fast the yellow porsche is in the scene where Alice is talking to Charlie about Bella having a sleep over the night before the fight. I caught it the 2nd time I saw Eclipse… but yes would have been nice if they addressed the whole subject of her getting the car from Edward!

ITA…I said it from the moment I saw Eclipse. The fact that the Denali’s refusal to fight with the Cullens because of the wolves was omitted was kinda dumb…we need that to set up Irina’s return, which is what sparks all of BD part II.

And, off topic, but equally dumb to leave out was the fact that Rosalie wanted so desperately to have a baby…it’s why Bella turns to her after finding out Ed wants Carslile to take care of it.

They are going to be bombarded with emails from fans wanting to act in it! =0

All I want to know for now is if they are going to film in Rio!!! August is at it’s end, which means they must have been there by now, and hopefully have made the decision to film there!!! =)

Other than that, I really wish they’d clear up rumors more often, or at least release info as they make decisions on cast, location, etc…

Oh Yeah, they missed out the bit where rosalie in the 1930s goes to visit her friend Vera. She realises she is jealous and wants a baby.
Do you remember that thing about the German girl who won that contest?
They were competing to be in Eclipse and she got the part of Vera.
There was even a picture of her going to the airport to travel to the set and THEN THEY CUT HER OUT?

Well, there’s a gazillion new characters in BD, so they could be releasing it just to see if anyone really fits the description of the characters. Who knows. Either that, or they’re really stupid.

I sincerely hope they include EVERY ally that the Cullen has there to stand with them at the end. I most interested in Garrett and the Denali clan. Oh, and the two Romanian vamps. They seem like they will be fun to watch.

What about Aldo Quintino? Is he playing Nahuel or not? (Sorry, just trying to clear it up…my friends are claiming he is. I don’t think that he has been cast.)

Since I don’t think Ms. Deborah Zane, the official Summit casting director, will answer my e-mail…anyone know about extras and stuff like that? Do you need to be a 1-yr. resident of Louisiana or Oregon in order to apply to be an extra, or for the casting calls/auditions? Or have professional representation in the form of an agent/legal mediator? (I already have a lawyer representing me but I wasn’t sure.)

I’ve recently gotten back into acting and I was considering sending in a resume to apply to be an extra (possibly for the wedding, or the Rio de Janeiro scene) in “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″…but I can’t find any information on how to apply. Or what the details/qualifications are for those who want to apply to be extras, or for minor roles. Help?

I have sold all of my belongings taken up acting and relocated to California! I am ready to move whenever or where ever the movie is being shot.. even if it is just to be an extra:) LOL.

I just wish they had not taken the approach of splitting over a year between parts. It really messes with the continuity. Personally, if they both showed at the same time, they might make the same amount of money.
I get that they really wanted to make more ROI compared to the releases expected mid 2012, but seriously guys.. isn’t 9x your initial investment enough???

With the difference in earnings between the New Moon and Eclipse saga, this one’s easy. I wrote a review that predicted this exact outcome due to the really haphazard way New Moon was directed. There were two big problems here, both of which are from observation and discussion with others who had watched the movie

First, you HAD to have read the book to understand what was going on it was so random in some places. Given that I went with my daughter (how sad is that :p) I actually had to explain to the dad next to me what was going on in at least six different scenes.

Second, lets be honest: people watch the next movie in a franchise because of the previous one. New Moon didn’t cut it. Eclipse did. However, instead of feeding into the boost from New Moon, it had a huge barrier to overcome from it’s issues.

I seriously think that this split of a year is going to introduce problems for the earning potential of this last part. I know my daughter isn’t interested in watching Part one this year if Part two is only a year later – she’s opted instead to wait for the dvd of part one and watch that the night before Part two. It’s a pity, I really wanted an excuse to watch it but.. [shrug]. You guys know best I guess.
