I so relate to this story. I’ve spent 20 years teaching writing to middle school students but never considered writing for myself. After seeing Twilight and reading Stephenie Meyers’ story, I finally practiced what I preached, “you can be anything you want to in this world”, and started writing for myself. I’m working on my third novel right now and took a break to hear this story. My first two books are on the road with a literary agent right now looking for a publishing house. My 22 year old daughter, who thankfully introduced me into the Twilight world, (and subsequently all of you wonderful internet friends), told me, “when you’re published you need to send Stephenie Meyers a letter and tell her she was your inspiration.”
So, Thank you Rob, Kristen, Taylor, Stephenie, and Catherine Hardwicke, (for your undeniably perfect casting), and a wonderful four year ride. I look forward to an even more incredible future now, thanks to all of you.

I also can relate to her story because after I read the books and fell in love with EB love story, I also was inspired to write. It unleashed a creative passion in me that was buried for awhile. I am in my 40s and I think as moms and working women we lose ourselves a bit and forget what we are passionate about. These books and movies inspire women to feel young and alive again. I am going to go out and buy Stevie Nicks CD because I love her music and I love that she shared this:)
