Robert Pattinson Talks about the MTV Best Kiss Award and Checking Fan Sites

ET Canada caught up with Rob in Toronto during his Cosmopolis promotion

After filming Cosmopolis right here in Toronto, RPatz has brought his entire crew back to T Dot for the Canadian premiere tonight! Well, everyone except his girlfriend Kristen Stewart that is.

But he did tell ET Canada‘s Roz Weston today he was excited about winning MTV’s Best Kiss Award, which Kristen picked up for both of them last night in LA.

“It’s nice that it’s been quite a few times,” he says of the trophy. “I would be disappointed if it wasn’t, then I would know it’s all rigged.”

Cosmopolis is of course a far cry from Twilight – and the actor wasn’t convinced at first… but thankfully everyone else around him was: “It took about 40 people to tell me I am being an idiot for not doing it… I got so many people to read the script.”

And Twihards, here is an interesting fact: Rob goes on the fan sites to see what you think of his movies, so be kind!

“I think Reese Witherspoon said when you are feeling good about yourself you don’t look at it, when you feel bad you look at it to make yourself feel worse,” Rob reveals.

LMAO!! See! Rob knew we were so devoted we would win him the award! Plus he checks fan sites! Lucky we’re always so nice on here.

     I love Rob but had you seen The haunted airman…that movie was really bad. He looked great in it and acted but the plot was just stupid and the direction was so so, YMMV.

    I don’t know why REMEMBER ME didn’t yield critical acclaim for you but I think it was a very good endeavor from several characters including you.  the story initially left me hanging (I didn’t get that the brother’s death caused the divorce) and the lack of sorrow for all of the death on 9/11 remains a mystery. Yet, the stories need to be told for this country to begin to heal from that terriorist attack.  Thanks for moving that issue to the forefront.

    If you’re ever in the DC area, write and we can have a meal together – quietly.

    To Robert & Kristen, I wish them many  years of happiness.  I’m old enough to be their grandmother, but I love their movies and will remain a loyal fan.  Just saw SWATH, loved it!!!  Looking forward to Roberts new movies.

    Don’t know how either Rob or Kristen have time to read fansites with Cannes and all the red carpet walking….but, if they do, Please, Rob, find a worthwile comedic script. You are HILARIOUS in your interviews. Some of the stuff you say, just for shock value I’m sure, is very funny! I will go see any movie either of you are in no matter what the genre’. When is Bel Ami coming out in the U.S.?
