Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson will bring their Hollywood star power to the country crowd at the Academy of Country Music Awards, the ACM tells PEOPLE.

The pair, who star together as lovers in the upcoming Water for Elephants, will serve as presenters at the ceremony in Las Vegas April 3. It airs on CBS starting at 8 p.m ET.

They join a line-up that already includes hosts Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton; presenters Nancy O’Dell and Ryan Seacrest, performers Alabama, Dierks Bentley, Ronnie Dunn, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band with James Taylor, as well as performances from the Entertainer of the Year nominees: Jason Aldean, Toby Keith,Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.

Nashville native Witherspoon is no stranger to country music, having won an Academy Award for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line – but the twang fest will no doubt be a new experience for the British-born Twilight series star.

I’ll definitely watch it, I was thinking about it since Taylor Swift and Keith Urban are performing… but now that ROB and Reese are presenting its a MUST!!!!

  • 30yearoldtwifan

I am a big country music fan….love Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert it will be nice to see them present to entertainers that are known to be non-assuming and humble….Rob should fit right in. I’d love to see Rob bust out his guitar with Keith…I read that Rob is an accomplished player.

I’d already be watching since I’m a country music fan, but now I’m super excited to watch!!!

  • http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2078693/ WaitingOnBreakingDawn!

I knew years of being a country fan would pay off! Jk. I really am a fan of country and I live an hour from Nashville. Excited!

  • Redolives

Yes!! Another reason to watch the CMA’s. I’ve watched them every year and there is never a dull moment.

  • Redolives

    ACM’s I mean.

  • robpatty

YEEEEEHAWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to watch this! I <3 country music, Reese Witherspoon, and Rob!!!!!

I can’t wait to see this I am not a country music fan but I will watch it :)

  • TeamEdward4ever

My sister loves country music and they have some great artist, I saw Garth Brooks in concert when I went to Nashville last year for Christmas vacation. Have any of you seen Walk the Line? Reese actually did her own singing, she looked so cute as a brunette

  • Redolives

One of my favorite movies!! Better singer then the real June Carter, in my opinion. Also I loved her wardrobe in that movie.

  • bella ♥ vita

As a Tennessean myself naturally I saw Walk the Line then bought it immediately the day it came out on DVD! I thought the movie was brilliant! It was hands down my favorite film that year and remains one of my all time favorites! Both her performance and Joaquin Phoenix’s blew me away! Both did their own singing and managed to completely embody the characters they were portraying which is so incredibly rare that its almost unheard of when you’re dealing with characters that are as legendary, beloved, and talented as Johnny and June. I mean June herself constantly praised their performances! I don’t think I read even one single criticism for the film or cast. I doubt I’ve ever bought a soundtrack to a biopic, but I did for Walk the Line! Plus like Redolives said, I LOVED Reese’s wardrobe in the movie! You’re also right, she looked great as a brunette!

  • Miranda the wolfgirl

I love country music it’s so peaceful so may be I’ll watch it for that. In fact I am writing my own story about how Edward and Bela are adopting two baby girls from England and bringing them home. However Reneesme is less than enthusiastic about she starts to grow worried questioning if her parents will still love her when the babies come. What do u think?

  • Miranda the wolfgirl

That’s one of my favorite movies of all time. In fact it’s the reason why I became a Johnny Cash fan even though he’s dead. But I loved Reese’s performance as June she was amazing and deserved that award but I still wanted Joaquin to win. Stupid Philip Seymour Hoffman

  • TeamEdward4ever

Now coming to think about it New Moon should had at least some country artists on the soundtrack since some country songs do deal with heart breaks, than again most of those songs do trend a little on revenge

The Oscars sometimes do not get it right ….Joaquin Phoenix was not nominated that year, overlooked because he did a great job portraying Johnny Cash.

  • TeamEdward4ever

hmm you picture Mr Pattinson singing country sporting a cowboy hat and all major thud

I think that the story of Johnny and June is one of the greatest love stories ever ….. I cry when I see Johnny Cash’s video Hurt when he looked so frail….June looked at him with such emotion… and who would have believed that June would leave this earth first …then Johnny dies 4 months later….I honestly believe he could not live without her.

I thought this was a joke! It just seems so out of the realm of things to do the CMA’s unless the soundtrack has something to do do with CM!?!?
Anyway, this should boost ratings for the CMA’s.I’m not a huge CM fan, but do watch it to see who the big winners are. Fan of Carrie Underwood-whooop!!

  • EdwardsNana

What a great addition to the Country Music Awards, Rob & Reese presenting, somebody really knew what they were doing. I have the date circled. But I must say, I will watch it for sure this year and have missed it in some of the past years. I loved watching Reese in “Walk the LIne”. What a beautiful true to life love story. I was always a Johnny Cash and June Carter fan. I felt Joaquin & Reese really made it happen. I bought the DVD and it remains one of my all time favorites.

  • D. Martin

I know from the Twilight movie that he’s really good on the piano and he carries his guitar with him just about everywhere but I did not know he was taking lessons on the cello. Is that just another rumor or what?

  • TeamEdward4ever

Now lets hope Carrie Underwood snags him for a video hehehe do you know the Song “Are you going to kiss me or not” fits in with the Breaking Dawn wedding

  • MirandaThewolfgirl2010

i think they will be better treated than those bastards at the Oscar’s, because it’s music and country music is more humble and pleasant

  • MirandaThewolfgirl2010

You better beieve it it is so mmm mmm good.

  • MirandaThewolfgirl2010

I know dear. It’s a shame that he quit acting but at least He’s focusing on music. MAybe Robert should come up with his own album and be a part time musician.

Rob said he was learning to play the cello in the MTV interview

  • EdwardsNana

Hi Miranda the wolfgirl!! Yes, the Country Music people are always warm and inviting.
