Collider has a new interview with Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey, where he reveals they will definitely be shooting part of the movie in Louisiana alongside the previous Vancouver set locations. He says the reason for this is partially financially motivated with tax credits along with a strong crew base in the area, and from the interview it sounds like there may be a substantial portion filmed in Louisiana.
Godfrey also addresses the question of whether Breaking Dawn will be shot in 3-D, and he says it is under serious consideration. He notes they talked about it for Eclipse, but decided early on not to go that route.He also notes that he doesn’t want to do a post-production conversion like Clash of the Titans if it’s done in 3D, but wants to film it with the proper equipment in “real” 3-D as was done with Avatar and only if director Bill Condon feels it suits the material.

I'm not a fan of 3D. That should be reserved for children's entertainment. It detracts from the story line & cheapens it in my opinion.
It's a gimmick that isn't needed for the fandom. All that is needed is a good script, strong director to force MR to write a decent script & be respectful to SM's writing.

I think the idea for 3-D would be for the 2nd part where Bella in now a Vamp and Her visual perspective DOES change since now she has the superhuman eye sight and everything. I like #D for that reason alone….it gives u an opportunity to live as a vamp if u will, experience her new live with her

i think it is not a good idea to make part 1 in 3D however how cool would it be if part 2 was in 3D? i feel like the fans would be getting more out of the story and would be able to take a piece of what Bella is seeing in her new vampire form….everything would be magnified in a part 2 3D just like all of Bella's senses are magnified….it would really feel like we are seeing things from Bella's point of view if the way the audience sees things changes at the same time the way bella sees things does.

Please don't make Breaking Dawn in 3-D, it will ruin the entire movie and saga. You can't just up and do the last movie in 3-D when the previous movies were all normal. I've been a fan of twilight for almost five years now and I can honestly say that 'if' it does happen I will not go and see it.

I live in Louisiana and we have lots of forests here, but the terrain is quite flat. No mountains here so I'm very interested to see what scenes they shoot here. I'm really opting against 3D because it has become quite overrated as of late in my opinion. If they did end up going that route, at least they would actually shoot it in 3D instead of converting it like The Clash of the Titans and The Last Airbender, but I really hope they don't do it in 3D.

i just dont believe that screen play or the books were every meant for 3D, i turly dont want to see the movie in the 3D. i honestly believe that they need to look around online and see what everyones saying about this. i think about the book and im trying to picture it in 3D and it just doesnt work for me. I understand that 3D is in, but that doesnt mean all movies should be done in 3D and what Happens if by 2012 when part 2 comes out and 3D is no longer the in thing todo, are we stuck with have part 1 in 3D and part 2 out of 3D. they just need to stuck with what they have been doing for all the movies.

Just bc Avatar was made in 3D and it had very success, doesn't mean that all the films have to be made in 3D too. Even if they shoot it in 3d you don't have to see the movie in 3d most theaters you can choose between 3d and a regualar screening so it doesn't really matter…
When it was first being discussed, I was super worried about the idea of BD being in 3D. Now, not so much. I mean, they are obviously not going to have a bloody Renesmee popping off of the screen or anything like that.
With real 3D, they mostly use it to add more perspective to the movie… they mainly only did the dramatic popping out stuff when they first started being able to use 3D technology and were really excited about it.
Kristen mentioned a couple of weeks ago how cool it would be for bella to wake up post-transformation and have everything be in 3D. you know, a totally new perspective. being able to see the dust particles clearly, etc etc.
i would hate it if BD was in 3D… mean, there's nothing wrong with normal movies, and after seeing a few in 3D i gotta say i don't see what's the big deal about it- the only difference was that my eyes hurt from that stupid stuff :/

louisiana is a very warm place and has pretty beaches…though currently some of those beaches that are on the coast are oil infested.

As far as it being filmed in Louisiana, there are parts in the 2nd half of the book where the Cullen's go looking for other Vampires to help/be witnesses regarding Renessme, they do mention traveling south, also if they include the J. Jenks stuff that could be done in a city anywhere really……….. they don't really film in order of the movie……..just a thought.
I gotta throw my vote in the hat. NO 3D PLEASE. I don't think it fits with the saga which is a LOVE story first and foremost. 3D would detract focus from the story and make it too gimmicky. Please use the same CGI effects team for the wolves as they were awesome in Eclipse, but NO 3D!! Like what others are saying I don't want to be IN the bedroom with Edward and Bella, I already felt intrusive watching them in the bedroom in Eclipse because their chemistry is real.

i dont want it in 3D…but it will also be in 2D aswell…at least where i am…..but i HOPE they choose AGAINST 3D!!…3D only works for cartoons mainly
Please do Not do 3-D. It will ruin the whole movie. I am so sick of 3-D movies.
Please, Please, Please NO 3-D!!! I can't stand that stuff, don't want to sit there with big silly glasses on the whole movie having stuff shot out at me! It just needs to be normal, the first 3 were great they way there are, no need to change it up and get crazy!!! Can't wait to see “Breaking Dawn”, but no 3-D please!!!
I think t would be cool if the first half was in 2D and then in the second part, when Bella opens her eyes to her new “vampire life”, everything is suddenly in 3d. I think it would drive home the point that vampires see things much more sharply then humans and would drive home the point about her change.
BD in 3D?? NO!! That would be a big mistake..It would be the best to stay normal..
Besides, those 3D glasses are going on my nerves (picture is then blue and red!)

They should NOT put Breaking Dawn in 3D. I mean why would you need it in a book that has less action in Eclipse!? There is no need for this. D:< Why is everything turning to 3D now. I'm trying to NOT wear glasses all the time. 2D is really only good for movies with action, or cartoons and such. I mean sure there are some yummy yummy parts, but I'm pretty sure we don't want to see that in 3D. I really REALLY hope they don't make either part 3D.
I saw Step Up 3D (also Summit) last week and it was crap. I’m not overreacting. I was so BAD. So please, no 3D for BD.
