Last night, June 29th, was a big night for Robert Pattinson and his character, Eric Packer.  Last night a very important scene was filmed.

Fans were warned via Twitter by crew members working on the film that the set would be closed, with no fans or paparazzi allowed near the set…black covering were around the area they were they were shooting this scene.

Well…never underestimate the curious…the determined…the sneaky.  We have pictures.  In order not to ruin the movie for those of you who have not yet read the book and those of you who wish to remain spoiler-free, I have posted only two pictures which do not give anything of the scene away.  If you choose to see the more spoilerish pics, check out RobertPattinsonlife.  They have lots of great pictures!

Rob looks so good in this movie–his portrayal of Eric Packer should have critics wondering why they ever doubted his ability to play another character besides Edward Cullen (which he has played beautifully, I might add.)

    AHHHHHHHHH!!!! IM THE FIRST ONE!!! FINALLY!!! ok. back to the rob subject.

    you gotta love the sneakies. of course ME being the oh-so curious nosy-body that i am i had to see the photos. and i did. and LET ME TELL YOU. . . those ‘awards’ people are going to have to SERIOUSLY consider putting my baby in one of those categories. i CAN NOT WAIT to see this movie. . . damn. now i want to read the book.

    It’s a difficult book to read but I highly recommend it. Eric Packer is presented as a complex man. It will help you understand his feelings (or lack of) by reading the book first.

    Oh God, i love to see this craziness, intensity on Rob’s face. Love the 2nd pic. Yummy. This is one of the most intense scenes.

    I don’t want to hurry (as it’s too early to say something), but if Rob plays Eric really well (which i don’t doubt) the character who is very complex and creepy, the character whom you may both like and dislike, feel bad or hate at the same time, then it will open the eyes of most critics.

    Can’t tell who you’re talking to, since disque is the program and not a person, but speaking for myself, I can tell how well he acts in this film because of the intensity of his facial expressions.

    I agree with BreesMom.  You really have to read the book first.  It’s short, complex, but short.

    these pix are amazing!!!!!!!!!! I haven’t read this book, but I think I need to.  I tried to at first, but couldn’t get through the first few pages.  But these pix make me wanna try again.

    Rob and Caitlin are friends, just as he and Reese Witherspoon are to him.  Reese has a new husband, Caitlin has a boyfriend….and, of course, Rob is in a long term relationship.

    While I know anything can happen, this is a short shoot (about 40 days of filming) and it’s doubtful anything will.  Besides, Caitlin’s dad is there all the time.  Ever try to start a relationship with your dad there practically 24/7?

    There is also video of these pictures, reports from the crew and cast…facial expressions in the pictures also give us a clue.

    I happen to feel strongly that Rob has a great deal of acting talent and am glad he has the opportunity to display what talent he has and to work with talented directors who are able to bring out the best in him.

    in some of those pics he looks evil,wow,i have the book on my kindle ready to read,but im trying to finish the latest sookie book first,i just loaded it up with a lot of books so i think this might be next after,dead reckoning….

    book is insane. its going to interesting to see how cronenberg brings it to life. if anyone can it will be him. so excited to see rob in one of his movies. this character is nothing like he has ever done.

    I think I really need to read the book. I clicked on the RPLife link, and after looking at those pictures I still don’t see a pivotal scene or a spoiler, which is good (I think!)  LOL

    I could kick myself for not reading this yet….it’s on my bedside table just waiting for me to pick it up….UGGHH…this weekend, I sware.  I have to know what’s going on..Rob looking so intense and gorgeous and shmexy… as usual….mmmmmmm

    I’m talking to whoever wrote the article & anyone who can answer the question… I hear you BUT he always has those facial expressions, he had it in Remember Me, & in WFE. Maybe I just don’t get it, I’m not trying to be a downer or say anything negative about Rob or his acting cause I like him & thinks he’s a great actor but no one is gonna convince me that he’s acting well because of the look on his face in these pictures

    Rob is a great actor, he has a way to go to before he can get the credit he deserves. I haven’t seen any video only pics & I’m sorry I can’t tell how great he’s acting by a picture,if you were cast & crew wouldn’t you say he was great? I’m not tryin to blow people’s Rob highs LOL so I’m just gonna stop while I’m ahead Thanks for answering
