Nikki Reed Talks About The ‘Breaking Dawn’ Scripts & Birthing Scene!

Hollywood Life spoke to Nikki Reed (aka Rosalie) on the red carpet at the 2010 Scream Awards on October 16th.  Nikki was asked about the Breaking Dawn scripts and the infamous baby birthing scene.

“I’m really happy, really excited, I think the key to the success of the scripts are to stay true to the books. That’s the origin and what people love, it existed before we did, obviously it can’t be verbatim with a 800 page book, but they are making two movies out of it. I think that the essential moments are there!”

As for Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) highly anticipated birth scene, Nikki said, “I’m sure Bill [Condon] has some really creative idea as to what he is going to do. There is a lot of pressure with those scenes because they are so highly anticipated, the giving birth scene or whatever you want to call it. I’m hoping and assuming its going to be edgy, I’m sure it will!”

We will see!   Edgy?  As long as it’s not gory, I’m good.

    i am so happy that in her last couple of interviews Nikki has mentioned how the scrip has stayed true to the book….maybe this time MR has really payed attention to what we, the fans, expect to see ;)

    As long as the baby isn’t horribly blood with pieces of flesh on it, flying towards me in 3D, I’ll be fine. :)

    And I hope that scene leaves me speechless and scared.. even though I know what’s going to happen. I just want it to be, epic, dramatic, and awesome.

    oh girl you said it! this will be one hell of a ride! and I love this ride so much I do not want it to end I am already coming to a close on HP7 and it KILLS me but I understand I hope to see them in other projects/flims and I hope that at some point Daniel Radcliff will work with Rob again or one of the other cast members :)

    when i read it in the book i was literally cringing. so as long as i cringe when its on screen, i will be happy.

    we dont need lots of blood and guts. but we do need rosalie getting kicked out of the room, jacobs determination to keep bells alive and then his devastation when he thinks they failed, bella TRYING to keep breathing the whole time, edwards look of fierce concentration the whole time. and little nessie to be adorable even covered in blood :)

    ahhh girl dont worry, its going to be emotional but, hey we’ve still got 396 days till BD PART 1! so we’re all going to be on this ride for a looong time hahaha!
    and I soo get you about harry potter! Ive been reading them since I was 7 so ive literally grown up with them and they’re such a huge part of my life! I would have auditioned for hermione as well because they came to my school but I was a year too young! drat! hp 7 will kill be because of all the deaths but you’re right, the cast members will be doing great stuff in the future :)

    Having read thru comments I think that buckets of blood is way over the top. I have been in the delivery room many times during my working days, and if I remember correctly BCsaid that his wife was a delivery nurse which leads me to believe that this scene will be done with a lot of taste and may even be beautiful in a way that we would never expect- But even reading it I don’t find it gorry- to me it is memoriable in many ways of having my own child minus a few key things haha:))

    Lol. I remember when Jacob ‘ditched’ when he thought Bella was dead and Edward was like, “If you aren’t going to save her then I will! Alone” Idk, something along those lines. So Jake goes downstairs upset.
    He didn’t really ditch but you know.. :P

    I wouldn’t be too worried about it. What are they gonna do? Have us watch dying Bella lying on the couch for days? They have to put in some Jake action. He has those scenes where he’s arguing with the wolf pack and all.

    If they cut or dont make it like the book it’s going to really suck Bill Condon should know that that is a extremly IMPORTANT seen but i dont think they will ruin if because Stephenie Meyer is a producer this time so i doubt it HIGHLY that she will let that happen =)
