In a recent interview with E!Online, Breaking Dawn Vampire Ashley Greene (aka Alice Cullen) talked about Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon. She also stated that everyone wants Breaking Dawn spilt into two movies!

    oh..2 reasons
    1. I don't think there's much in the book for 4 hours of film. So we'd most likely end up with two bore fests if they stayed true to the book, OR in another scenario we'd have to deal with helluva more of MR's genius additions & alterations and we don't want that to happen, do we?
    2. The fandom is already dying. I don't think dragging this for 2 more years is a good idea.

    one 3 hours film would be good.

    Me, too. I think this will be the best one because she is on board. With the first three films, she was talked to, but she had no real say-so in what went on. She was only a reference. Now that she is a producer I think we will get a lot more of what she wants- what WE want. It's going to be great!!!

    I wonder if this makes MR nervous!? I like to think she is really scared now that SM is on staff. Maybe that's what's taking so long to write the script!! Now SM can reel her in whenever she wants!!!

    I completely agree with your #1..MR would have waaayyy too much room to rewrite perfection.
    But I disagree about the fandom. I think it is still huge!! People are still discovering the series today!!

    I am sooo ready for 2 films!!! I never want this series to die..then my life will actually have to be productive :(

    3 hours sounds good, i just want jacob's book to be done right and for the movie to not be a bore fest cos honestly book 1 and 2 were boring to me expcet towards the end when it got suspenseful.

    but why do you think the fandom is dying? did you not see the mtv movie awards? LOL its in pretty good shape. what worries me is the haterade.

    I wasn't too happy to hear the news for a few reasons, but I am more positive about it now. These are her books after all. She'll want to do them justice.

    MR should be fired and Stephenie should take over as screen-writer.

    Due to creative differences, Melissa Rosenberg has been fired as screenwriter of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Author of the much loved series, Stephanie Meyer has replaced her. Stephanie told us, “I just couldn't watch her type 'Spider monkey' one more time. She wanted Edward and Bella to adopt a baby for crying out loud!!”
    Rosenberg has moved out of her current house and moved to an unknown location as she has been receiving death threats from loyal followers of the series.

    No kidding I just read them a little over a year ago (have read them multiple times since then) and passed them on to all my friends!

    Yeah, you want two movies so you can get another paycheck. The book is huge, but there is not enough in there for two 2 hour films. Just make one 2.5 hour film and be done with it. There are what 100 or so pages dedicated to meeting new vamps and training. Things like that can be shortened on film and really need to be. A movie need to have a good momentum and Breaking Dawn is in need of some serious tweaking if the movie is going to work pacing wise.

    I disagree. It’s nearly double the volume of the previous books; and as it was the previous three movies they cut so much out that it was barely on track…
