    i was thinking exactly the same about the hole in the ground.the only reason i can find is that the vampires will be delayed to come up and time is important in this battle since most of the “hole victims” gonna be Volturi.Until they come up again the number of the Volturi in the ground will be decreased and easier to kill them.i can t understand any other reason.

    I think there will be a fight! It has been told that the end will be different from the book and Im very glad, because the last part of the book was a little slow and boring, and in a movie they need to include action. As long as they dont kill anyone, I dont mindi!!

    I have to second this! I’ve reached my limit with Edward getting his ass kicked every single movie and always looking like a weak whiny punk that even Carlisle can best in a fight when in the books he and Jasper are equally skilled and no one else was ever able to actually even come close beating him! I would’ve loved a scene where Edward gets saved by Bella IF it weren’t for the fact that they had already changed scenes in every other movie to make Edward appear like a weaker and less skilled fighter than he actually is! If they’d stuck to the canon in that aspect then I think Bella saving him would’ve been perfect, but THEY DIDN’T!

    What the hey? Edward is a freaking vampire for godsake. Falling in a deep hole will not hurt him. He can crawl right out like a spider monkey. Why is he busting a whole in the ground anyway. Those vamps that are falling in will crawl back out within a few seconds. Why does Edward always have to be the weak one. I am sick of him looking like a wimp and not being able to protect his family. I hope this is Alice vision. I want what was in the book. SM said the reason that she did not have them fight in the book is because everyone would die. So wouldn’t that hold true for the movie also. They just need to stick to the book because this whole fight scene is not making any sense to me. If you did not read the book then yes you will dig it but if you are the fans of the books you should be so disapointed

    Totally agree with what you say. What I remember from the books was that no one could beat Edward in a flight because of his mind reading ability, he could anticipate what his opponent was going to do. I can also understand that Bella is physically stronger in BD as a newborn, and that she can get around Edward’s skill because of her shield… But still, come on we want Edward to kick some Voltouri butt… (fingers crossed)
