    Tom Alice can’t see the wolves at all… and Edward would be trying to read a bunch of minds at the same time as well as trying to protect himself–  the vamps are also very weakened since they haven’t hunted in ages… its plenty realistic you are not seeing in the proper context

    Just came back from the movies, the movie was good, of course not as good as the book, but I trully enjoyed it and want to see it again……

    Once again Edward is about to be killed. This time by SAM!! Just like the movie Eclispes so different then the movie. Edward whoops on Victoria. But not the movie, he almost gets killed until Bella cuts herself distracting Victoria. In the book Victoria never gets close to Victoria, Edward see’s from the corner of his eye she’s about to cut herself, so he knocks Victoria into a tree, he swirls to Riley, where Seth is faking an injury, grabs Riley by the back of the arms and heaves, riping Riley’s arms off. I liked the fight so much bettter in the book. Once again in the movie Edward looks like a wimp.

    In the MOVIE “NEW MOON”.

    Victoria and Riley also took him down in “ECLIPSE” the movie.
    And Carlisle took him to the ground in “ECLIPSE” the movie.

    ALL situations that did NOT happen in the book, nor were they even possible, given the traits and strengths the author herself gave to her character and EXPLAINED and SHOWED in the books.

    The movies have been pure TRIPE when it comes to Edward the character.
    That is why Rob calls Edward a pussy all the time—cuz ROBWARD is–Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, the novel character, is NOT.

    The above is Fact.

    But these movies are blatant in their disregard for the vampire traits and what we know of Edward and his family.  it’s pretty laughable, esp. knowing the author was on set for all of them!

    yupp, bella was telling him something about accepting her decision, and he tells her, that she wasnt really giving him an option, and that they were supposed to be together in this, that she promised forever to him, etc etc.. very beautiful and emotional

    They should’ve stuck with the “R.”  It’s not like 13 year olds won’t still go anyway.  The rest of us older fans would’ve appreciated the extra realism methinks.  And more bareness on Rob could never hurt.  *wink*

    Edward is supposed to never lose a fight- since he can hear thoughts. They made that mistake in Eclipse too when he is fighting Carlisle. I didnt like that they all ended up on the ground either, in the books that would never happen.

    a little part of me died when i saw alice get attacked  unexpectedly. I always figured alice to see when and which wolf would attack. since she would always see the chess game ending between her and edward and seeing whether bella would say yes or no to bella coming to the birthday party.  lol

    Spoiler alert!
    in the movie Edward injects his venom in Bella, bites her and continues to resuscitate her by pumping her chest. Then he senses the wolves I assume, and calls for Alice and Jasper. They head outside and fight happens. But you can still see Bella in the background.

    True, but I didn’t even notice. It just worked well in the movie and some things have to be changed to reflect it properly in the film.

    ^^ You have a point, we can’t always conclude that the scenes that aren’t from Bella’s perspective are *wrong* or *not portrayed properly* because they were never written. And as mentioned before, when bella is in the midst of her transformation, word of the wolves & the treaty is spoken about.. Kinda like the conclusion of the fight, so they had to fit it in there somewhere. 

    The fight was good, I too noticed that Alice’s cry was a bit off, however they would have said it was ok, because since when have we ever heard Alice in a state of confusion and pain? NEVER… It really bothered me that, tiny alice, being yapped at by a massive bloody wolf.. 

    So Melissa Rosenberg is what.. the screenwriter or something? clearly we all have issues with her because she doesn’t have sh*t on what Stephanie wrote.. She doesn’t feel what we feel as the fans, because we don’t have to write the movie, so we absorb ourselves into it. 
    I will ask one thing, who has seen it yet.. Did you squirm uncomfortably in your chair right at the end when the cinema goes quiet, and we are all staring at her face? I worked myself up so much my heart did this little jolt.. I found it quite scary :S

    Oh.. I thought the effects of Jacob – post kicking his bike and transforming, running through the bush – was BLOODY AMAZING. I was just taken away by the image, it was so powerful, it was a real rush, I was sitting on the edge of my seat sweating bullets.

    I’ve seen it twice, I thought it was different and should be rated differently.. the birth scene is just.. wow. Crap – no. But readers will notice the lack of some parts – which for me, irritates, the effects are good this movie.. And they do a fair amount of detail on the wolf mind reading. a REALLY intense pre-wedding dream… be prepared for that one.. and the wolf fight / cullens was quite odd.

    Yeah, Carlene, I know what your thinking. They never left Bella’s side in the book, but this time, they do. & it’s all weird, cos we don’t know that part of it, and dont know who is fighting and why, we don’t know anything and its a pretty intense 5 minutes where we sit there and know nothing.

    Can anyone tell me whether or not Esme fights the wolves at all? Like do you actually see her fighting? I’m guessing it’s just Jasper, Edward and Alice that fight, then eventually Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Jacob, Seth and Leah arrive… but I like Esme. So do we see her fight the wolves? I remember in the trailer there’s a clip of them all outside the house standing off against the wolves.

    Do you mean mentally exhausted? Vampire’s physically can’t get exhausted since… they’re vampires. And they don’t have the chemicals etc that’d normally cause someone to be tired and exhausted.

    Warewolves and Shapeshifters are the only things that can match a vampire in terms of strength, however I’m sure it’s been stated that vampires are that little bit stronger than shapeshifters, since they’re not actually warewolves.  When you pin someone down, you stop them moving for a considerable length of time. If Edward wanted to, he’d be able to kick Sam off him, like Jasper did to the warewolf and kicked him into the tree. I’m guessing you’ve watched the movie by now.. did Edward stay down for long?

    It was most likely her double, since she’s about to vault over a wolf, it’d probably be pretty dangerous for Ashley to do. However in regards to the speed, it won’t be like that in actual movie. I think this is a rough-edited version; it won’t make it onto the screen – it will look  better.

    It wouldn’t make a difference in battle. In Eclipse, the wolves weren’t there to kill any of the Cullens. In this scene, the wolves are here to kill Bella! Whether or not they’re calm or angry about it – they’re still here to kill Bella.
