    I’m with you, Kathy, on being glad they’re adding fight scenes, but I loved the book. I especially love that she switched to Jacob’s p.o.v., as that was so colorful and engaging for me. I get the impression that there are a lot of people out there who don’t really “get” Jacob, but I did, and I loved getting more immersed in his world. For me he was such a necessary, warm, loving part of Bella’s life. Her story would not have been the same without him for me. The wolf pack brought even more of a sense of family and community to the books for me, and that’s one of the aspects I loved the most about this series.

    I wouldn’t mind at all if SM were to go on and write entire books about the wolf pack and the tribe. More on the Cullens and vampire world would be amazing too, but I love both of these families and communities immensely.

    Haven’t seen it yet, Tom, but hoping too as soon as I can. I’m mostly just thinking that Same wouldn’t be able to pin Edward in the first place, as Edward is one step ahead of any opponent due to the mind reading. The only people in the world who I think could best him are Jane and Bella (theoretically only on the latter ; ) ).

    Edward gets his ass kicked in every movie. I’m almost not even surprised anymore even though it never ceases to piss me off to no end. I’m starting to wonder what MR’s problem is with Edward. She must seriously hate him to keep changing the story every movie just so that he always ends up losing fights. He got his ass handed to him by Felix in NM too. In Eclipse, CARLISLE of all people for god’s sake got the better of him in fight training then Victoria and Riley even managed to get him in a choke hold! NONE of which would’ve ever actually been possible given his mind reading abilities. It gets on my last nerve that they’ve turned movie Edward into such a complete pansy! Its bad enough watching Bella walk all over him in Eclipse, but at least THAT is actually in the books. Edward in the books was a gentleman yet still BADASS instead of just the doormat/punching bag that the movies have made him out to be. I don’t blame Rob because he doesn’t write these garbage scripts, but I can’t fathom for the life of me why SM has allowed it.

    Guys it’s okay! I watched this movie today and it looks 100% so much better on the screen. It might not be in the book, but wait and see, then you’ll see why it’s there. Also (SPOILER!!!!!) Edward doesn’t stay down for long – Carlisle and Esme arrive just in time and kick Sam off Edward. I hated, but loved the part where Alice is struggling with that wolf. It’s horrible to see her struggling trying to keep the wolves teeth away from her, but Leah arrives just in time and deals with the wolf.

    there is no words to describe it! So for all you doubt about the movie you wrong- big time! because  you dont know whar are you missing now!

    Hey haters…what is a clip of a giant werewolf attacking a vampire who just ate his baby out of his wifes stomach supposed to look like. Give the professionals some credit and I bet if you all did the cgi it would look like a bad abcfamily movie

    the renesmee baby effects were pretty bad, not going to lie. but when she got older they were really good. i cant wait until the second movie. another whole year…</3

    Why oh why do they always show Edward as such a wuss. I mean guys, he can read peoples thoughts and he is faster than most vampires. He is never shown as a great fighter, not in Italy, not now. Why don’t they show him to be as great as he is!! Being taken down by Sam so easily, I mean come onnnnnnn!

    I agree.  And how about the way they handled the confrontation after Jacob kissed Bella and she broke her hand slugging him.  In the book, Edward was far more menacing and adult.  Guess they felt they had to change that for the movie, but Edward would never have reacted that way.  Those of us who know the books have a better grasp on all these characters than those who just see the movies.

    best part of this is…i dont know if i should spoil the ending of this scene BUT I WILL FOR THOSE WHO LOVED THIS SCENE! hehehe…..but jacob shows up and you know that whole line of..if you kill her you kill me. Then sam pushed him aside…well…shoved actually and then jacob phases and there is the confrontation. And then edward states: He cant hurt her. Jacob’s imprinted on her. its their most absolute law!…..i have nothing against edward/rob….but the way he said that last part in the movie…that gave me chills! lol

    Who gives a rat’s a%& about the special effects ?  Anyone who read the book is going to love this movie; it sticks pretty close to the book. Besides, if memory serves, in the book, the wolves never even attacked the Cullens; so it only makes sense that it should be the worst part of this film since it was only put there to add a little action to please non readers.

    There are so many parts that i loved in this movie but others were just ridiculous… I thought this fight was pretty good i think the scene that ruins the movie for me was when *spoilers* Jacob splits from the pack it was really really stupid and just couldnt stop laughing.

    Yes, this is the truest they’ve stayed to the book however there were some parts where they could have done waaaay better i’m a bit dissapointed with execution but overall it was pretty good(:

    Felix is bigger stronger faster and a trained fighter.  He gets distracted by Jasper, there are two against one in Eclipse, and the three Cullens are weak from weeks of starving, so yes he gets his butt kicked, a lot.  Haven’t you ever heard, you can’t win em all.

    Edward doesn’t use his strenght against people that he or someone else cares about. Aro? It was impossible for him to fight not because he couldn’t but because it was in their best interest not to. He would never get the better of Carlisle because he loves him; Against the werewolves? It hurts Bella if he hurts them! he can and could get the better of them….

    I need a life!!!!!!!!!!

    all trailer are presented unedited so the effects are not well made. if you compare the scenes of the movie you will realize, and so it is with all of twilight
