Breaking Dawn rob brad 280x259 MTV Hollywood Crush: Is Robert Pattinson The Next Brad Pitt? Water For Elephants Costume Designer Thinks So water for elephants robert pattinson MTV Hollywood Crush has more on the interview with costume designer Jacqueline West for Water For Elephants. Jacqueline thinks Robert Pattinson is the next Brad Pitt.

“He’s kind of perfect,” she said. “He’s easy, like Brad in that way. You can’t put anything on them that they don’t look good in.” Ahh the advantages of being ridiculously good looking.

That’s not where the similarities end though. Jacqueline added that the two guys have a lot more in common than their looks.

“Both of them are so nice to work with. They’re both really lovely people and nice to everyone, respectful of everyone’s work and collaborative and genuine,” she said (as if we needed more reasons to love them). “There’s something very down to earth about both of them. Brad, because he’s from the Midwest, I think, and Rob, because he came from theater.”

Jacqueline, who has met both Brad and Rob’s families (seriously, how can we get that job?), said that their upbringing is definitely to credit for their all-around awesomeness.

“I met both their families and they’re both lovely and well brought up,” she said.

And there’s more. Jacqueline also noticed a common thread in the way both actors work.

“They’re similar in the way they approach characters and a part and how they’re so respectful about their craft.”

I want Jacqueline’s job too!  LOL!  She is definitely one lucky, talented lady!

I remember when I first saw Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise, I thought “Who is this man?!”  LOL!  I definitely think Rob is the next Brad Pitt (career)!  Rob > Brad for me!

Here in South Africa WFE started showing today (15 April) and I went to see it tonight – all alone, hubby and kids in bed, came home after midnight. And it was great!! Robert Pattinson played the role perfectly: For the first part of the film he’s awkward, shy, blushing, smiling – and then after the love scene (somewhat different than in the book) he is strong and assertive. Rosie is amazing and Christoph W is brilliant!

  • DearJacob_I_Win_SincrlyEdwrd

I was looking at both pictures trying to figure out what that edge is that Rob has over Brad Pitt. I mean, they are both gorgeous men! I think the edge for Rob is that he is European; it’s just a new, sexy look for us American ladies ;)

  • I<3Headboards

  • pinkaddiction23

Rob is oober gorgeous! I’m so jealous some of you ladies have seen Water For Elephants. 22nd for me, I can’t wait!!!!

  • Twilight Fan Forever

Rob Pattinson=Brad Pitt?? No. NO!! And HELL NO! Maybe at that certain angle, but even his acting doesn’t measure up. Come ON! You’re on crack! Give him some more experience rather than overblown publicity, THEN MAYBE, he will start to compare.

    ~~TFF~~

Rob like Brad? God, i hope not. Not much of a Brad fan. I only like two of his movies, and they were when he was younger. A River Runs Through It, and Legends of the Fall. I think Rob will do much better career wise, and I sure as hell hope he does better with the woman who he choses to give his name and heart to. Brad lost my respect after that crap.

Rob like Brad? Ah hell no!!!

  • Mullet Mofowski (CF)

Once upon a time, Brad was my Rob. I remember seeing him in Interview With The Vampire and I was literally blown away and became obsessed with all things Brad Pitt.

So it is cool that they are being compared now. Pre-Angelina and the tabloid fodder that ensued, I always saw Brad as this down to earth, not full of himself, loving acting for the art of it, kind of guy. Much like how I see Rob now.

I see a lot of Brad in Rob. But I also see some Leo and Johnny Depp.

  • Mullet Mofowski (CF)

I agree. They are following a very similar path in their careers.

Both were popular vampires that questioned and hated being a vamp. Both were known for their looks more so than their acting early in their careers, although Brad did get nominated for Legends of the Fall.

I think Rob needs to continue to be very picky with his roles and he will be fine much like Brad.

    YOU ARE SOO RIGHT!!!!!

  • HHIMC<ParagonSchnizophonic

As “Tristan” in Legends of the Fall, Brad Pitt was incredible. Still love that name, ‘Tristan’! And omg, he was gorgeous :D That’s an amazing movie! I have the poster framed in my room :)

  • HHIMC<ParagonSchnizophonic

    Just wanted to correct this:
Brad didnt get nominated for “Legends of the Fall”, but for 12 Monkeys, Best Supporting Actor.
He was most recently nom’d for “Benjamin Button”, Best Actor.

And another thread tying together Brad and Rob is that a few ppl who worked on the effects for Benj. Button are doing the effects for BD.

  • HHIMC<ParagonSchnizophonic

Definitely. Altho i dont see Brad as the greatest actor, either, he is in some of my faves. Rob needs a couple more movies under his belt. And he needs to lose his inhibitions. And the crinkling of the brow thing he does…..it’s cute but he’s gotta do that less.
We’ll see how WFE is received, and how ppl will compare his acting to RM, and how he held up alongside Christoph and Reese? (I thought he was great in Vanity Fair [deleted scene] opposite Reese, but i dont feel confident about WFE). Bel Ami was a stretch, too. I think ppl wanna see how he did there, it will be another gauge.
THEN the real test will be COSMOPOLIS. Now that Twi filming is over, i hope he can really get into the character and dig in. He’s been gaining experience, so can he lose the inhibitions and push himself?? THEN we can truly compare him to the A-Listers, disregarding fashion and looks and career moves.
I wish to see Rob w/o the twi spotlight, it’s been like a weight on the poor guy.
If the world doesnt end after BD2 then we’ll get to see him after the saga is over (TRULY over, in 2013, right? After the last dvd comes out– ugh).

BUT w/o TTS, we wouldnt be here COMPARING him to everyone, so it’s a paradox like that :P And he wouldnt have a career we could debate over, either, soooo…..
ya, he’d probably just be hanging out in London and cutting an album like all his buddies…….hehe.would be interesting to see how Rob would be in THAT reality: the one where he wasnt cast as EC by Catherine H and Kristen………my guess is he’d be another struggling artist. Wish i had a time machine or a crystal ball, id like to see a few years ahead: 20 yrs later “Where Are They Now?” and the Twilight Cast Reunion!!
Ya right :P I wouldnt mind checking out that parallel universe, tho. Rob’s singing was the first thing i liked about Twilight, and i didnt even know it was his voice :)

  • Mullet Mofowski (CF)

Yeah, he got nominated for the Oscar for 12 Monkeys, but he was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Legends of the Fall.

The reason I brought up LOTF was because it was at the beginning of his career. :)

  • Mullet Mofowski (CF)

I had a poster of him sitting in the rocking chair with that long beautiful hair up on my dorm room wall in college. I was a little psycho about him, no lie. LOL

  • HHIMC<ParagonSchnizophonic

    i totally understand lol :)
