Micheal Sheen Will Return As Aro In Breaking Dawn

According to Variety, Micheal Sheen will be returning to his role as Aro as things have apparently been worked out the studio bosses.

Michael Sheen is returning as a vampire leader in Summit’s “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.”

The British thesp closed his deal with the studio to reprise his turn as Aro, the leader of the vampire royalty Volturi.

So fear not everyone!  Everything has been worked out and I’m ecstatic at this news as I thought he played the role brilliantly.  I can’t wait to see Micheal bring out the creepy, unstable Aro of Breaking Dawn!

I didn’t realize that there was a chance he wasn’t going to be in it!! Thank god it’s all worked out. All of the cast are returning, right? We haven’t been told of any big players that aren’t going to be finishing it up? I mean we’ve obviously got lots of new characters, but all of our Cullens and werewolves are returning? Michael Sheen is brilliant as Aro, so thank goodness he’s back :)

So glad to hear that Michael is coming back and never heard he wasn’t. Shocked to read this!
Aro would never be the same if Michael doesn’t play him!

Can’t imagine any of the actors not playing their characters!

It’s funny that everyone is surprised by this post, just like I was.

I can’t imagine if summit tried to replace Aro . . . talk about a riot, lol!!!

Fascinating! Can’t you just hear Michael say the word in New Moon? Who else could portray Aro with such perfection?!

YEA EVERYBODY THERE WILL BE A FIGHT SCENE LOL ITS A MOVIE NOT A BOOK..THATS WHAT PETER IS TALKING ABOUT..BITE..THEY HAVE TO MAKE THIS MORE ENTERTAINING THAN THE BOOK WAS..SORRY FAITHFUL READERS WHO DONT WANT ANYTHING CHANGED

Yippeee!!! Michael Sheen IS Aro! I’m so glad his schedule worked out, as that is my guess for the late announcement. He’s a very talented and therefore busy actor. I mentioned this on another post, but I recently saw him in Unthinkable and he was phenomenal!!

  • SC~3rd_Wife(TeamSM)

I doubt it had anything to do with his ability to play the role properly, since obviously he was the perfect Aro, but more likely just working out the schedule of filming between his other projects. He has at least two other films he is working on.

  • SC~3rd_Wife(TeamSM)

Of course, all that’s out the window since they announced they are adding some fight sequences to the end battle. Hopefully they don’t screw it up too bad : /

Actually, I’m all for a little fight scene, especially in terms of the build up to the final confrontation. Since the film isn’t the book and we aren’t inside Bella’s head, watching the scene play out the way it does would seem a little confusing, especially for those fans who havn’t read it. In some respects we would effectively be the “witnesses” who just stand there and try to interpret what exactly is happening. Not to mention that as a film, action plays a huge part in audience engagement so for Scummit to have a fight scene, just to boost interest, doesn’t really surprise me. Just as long, however, as they DON’T, unecessarily KILL ANYONE OFF, then i’ll be happy to watch some (hopefully) awesome vampirishness….*prays to the twi-gods* SM please, Please PLEASE watch and control this, you yourself didn’t want a hamlet-like ending so please supervise the extent Scummit decides to ruin your work…
