I also think that they’re nervous since it is a 2 part movie and the fact that they can extend some scenes….(honeymoon and the new house) woot woot

  • booksaddicted

I am going to say I like your post because it made me LOL.

  • Rizam

I really want to see how Edward holds the baby for the first time…and says… “Renesmee” … and then how Jacob feels about the whole thing when Edward inserts his venom into her..and the Imprinting moment…
and I really really wish that during the imprinting moment they make Taylor's voice as a background saying whatever Jacob is thinking in the book …!!
And the scene i'm MOOOOOOOOOOST looking forward to is when Edward is like telling Jacob that Bella can have pups with him…

Gosh!! I really really hope BD is perfect or I'll commit suicide i think..!! =S

  • RobSten1123

I'm hoping she's writing Breaking Dawn as carefully as she can! Breaking Dawn has so many intense things in there. It's one of my favorite books. I seriously want Bella to look heartbreakingly beautiful like it said in the book!

  • Julieg

Jacob? I know he is there at the beginning of the birth, but it is all Edward and Bella. She needs to let go of Jacob and get back to the real story.

  • jia225

Really Melissa, you know what YOU want to see? Hmm maybe you could, oh i dont know, see what WE want to see!! No one gives a flying nut-sack about what YOU want!! So how about you think about the fans and maybe check a few fan sites to see whats up. -_- Just saying..

  • robert-cro

    Very well said!
Jacob is an important part in the fourth book, but not so much that she should focus on it so much ….
It is important for some things, but in my opinion, she should not exaggerate more with the triangle, and Bella's emotion for Jacob … Jacob is as far as Bella, more or less finished story
    From now Edward is important

  • Kella

I don't know if it's just me, but I kinda felt the presence of Renesmee in the books a little disappointing. I also felt like Bella getting pregnant was too obvious of a plot device.
I also felt that the relationship between Edward and Nessie really lacked in the book as well. This always bothered me. There was like little to no father/daughter interaction. Then again, there was not a whole lot of mother/daughter interaction either. The only time Bella ever really had any interaction Nessie was sitting around holding Nessie, while every one around her did her motherly duties of feeding her and taking care of her. Did any of this sorta disappoint anyone else?
I mean, I get that there was a lot to be concerned about at that point in the story for Bella and Edward, but I kinda wish SM would have made time to put in these sort of scenes to create a relationship between these characters. Instead of making Edward and Bella seem like these second-hand parents.

  • Kella

I think I might just throw up if she includes the scene where Edward bascially begs Jacob to give Bella a baby. Bascially giving Jake permission to sleep with Bella. That scene has always sickened me, and I always felt that SM kinda stomped on Edward's personal character with that scene. The Edward we know from Twilight through Eclipse would never make that suggestion. When I read that scene, I literally put down the book, and didn't think I would be able to return to reading it. It made me that sick!

  • JuliaPattz BringOnTheShackles

I guess you’re right. I mean, critic reviews were never…let’s just say…very positive when it came to how each scene played out. But it just really sucks that we all pay to see these great books become movies and we have to walk into the theater nervous we won’t like it. I just wish someone who actually cared about this series and the reaction from the fans took control of it all.

I mean, Harry Potter was adapted SOOO well to the big screen. Whoever their writers are should come on board for Breaking Dawn.

  • CF Bibimbop N Iced Tea

I agree as well. But then again the entire book is one big WTF moment.

  • CF Bibimbop N Iced Tea

Can we just have Edward and Bella go on their honeymoon, Jacob and Leah get together, there be some issue that arises, a small battle, the end?

    LOL

  • 30yearoldtwifan

Can someone PLEASE let MR know Edward doesn't eat the placenta?? He does a c – section with his sharp Vamp teeth. So freaken what! What is the issue here with this? LOL I dont get the problem, people you all READ the book correct?

  • Kella

So TRUE! Totally my least favorite book of the whole series.
I don't know if I read this in Breaking Dawn or in a fan fiction story, so maybe someone who remembers the book could let me know if this scene is in the book…but is there a scene in the book where Edward says he will change Bella and then Jacob can have a relationship with her until Jake dies, and then she will spend eternity with Edward? Kinda like since Edward lives forever he would wait for her and give Jake his chance? I kinda think I read this in a fan fiction, but recently I was doubting myself and just didn't want to have to struggle through reading Breaking Dawn again to check.

  • Kella

yeah, I totally hate how she keeps referring to what “she wants.” It's not about her. It's about making the fans happy and making the movie money.

  • Kella

I don't know about anyone else, but I really don't want to see Nessie as a fake CGI baby. Cuz sometimes, no matter how much money is spent or the newest technology used, sometimes CGI people still look really fake! Will Edward and Bella even be able to really hold her if she is fake? Won't the actors have to hold some piece of green screened cardboard or something and pretend it's Nessie? That's just weird.

  • tpec1991

hahaha, that was a fan fiction!!in breaking dawn jacob imprints on edward and bella's daughter =P

  • Kella

I know he does, but I thought that maybe Jake and edward had this discussion before Nessie was born…but I am obviously confusing the book and fan fiction worlds. :)

  • TwiMom2

Did anyone ever feel that it was never Edwards and Bella's baby???? I mean I feel the only one that ever held her was ROSALIE!! UUGGGHHH!!

  • talovetwi

there is a point in the book, when bella is preagnant and about to die and edward is desperat to save her, that he asks jackob to offer bella a life with him, and have babys – so she will give up this baby, couse he thinks that that's what she wants and it's killing her. so actually he wants to try it as a way to save her life, meaning he loves her so much that he's willing to hurt himself just so she lives and have what she wants (a baby. one that wont kill her). it's in the part where edward almost goes crazy, the 'burning man' that jackob sees in his face (sorry for my spelling, I'm not from an english speaking country)

  • leahreallyitis

I agree and this book was okay but you are right it was lacking the interaction with Nessie, Edward, and Bella and I also think that the book was kind of dragging alittle idk why I just think it was a little bit and it was as if IMO that SM was burned out or something..and also IMO I think it was mostly Rosalie that was with Nessie most of the time more than Bella was and Edward maybe I'm wrong idk but that is how I saw it when I was reading the book

  • http://twitter.com/RobstenKiss Kylee Banderas

I did HATE how there was less interaction with Edward & Renesmee .
But shouldn't Edward's love for Renesmee be shown more too , as much as Bella's . Bella's emotions for the baby was very motherly . Edward showed more comradeship toward the baby . I don't know . But I guess that since Bella loved ” it ” first as her nudger it would be like that . It's hard to understand .

& As for the Jacob's story , for me I don't really think every detail of his part is really necessary. I just want to see his reaction when he saw Bella pregnant ; the scene where Edward tells Jacob to ” be ” with Bella to save her & make puppies ; when he rebelled against the pack ; & when he gave up on Bella && saw Renesmee . I want MR to focus on Bella && Edward .

They have to make the ending the way SM wrote it in the book .
With Bella & Edward alone in the cottage , & she shows him her thoughts &
feeling & memories throughout their whole relationship .

I DON'T want them to SCREW this up .
Not my favorite out of the series but it's where everyone got there
    Happy Ending .

  • leahreallyitis

that is how I saw it too as a WTF moment I think(and I said this in an earlier comment) SM, in my opinion seemed burned out when she was writing it idk why I just think she was and also I think the book was dragging alittle as well I hope that the movie is better however I can't believe I am saying this but maybe MR could tweak it alittle bit even though we have all said stay true to the book blah blah well I am begining to re-think that a little I know must be insane to think that but I do

  • Kella

I totally agree. Bella never had to take care of that child, everyone else did all her motherly jobs. All she did was sit around with her and hold her and occasionally put her to bed. We never saw her feeding her, or playing with her, etc. And poor Edward had even less interaction with Nessie. It was liked he still was more concerned for Bella than Nessie.

  • BridgetrunswithVampires

I can give MR the benefit of the doubt on this one. BD will be very hard to translate to screen. Now that we've seen Eclipse, we know she is capable of doing a pretty goos adaptation…so I am putting my faith in her for the moment. I don't want to stress about this until I see a trailer, sneak peek or still. I am just excited for them to start filming again!!

My sisters (who are big twihards like me) and I were talking about this. We think that the people over at Summit go on fan sites and read comments by us, the fans. On this site and others I'm sure, we've voiced our opinions and disappointments in MR's adaptation's for Twilight and NM. Eclipse was leaps and bounds better than the first two and I think Summit might have seen what we fans wanted and somewhat delivered with Eclipse. IMO and my twihard sisters too!

  • Kella

It's so funny that you would point out that SM seemed burned out writing this, cuz I have always said that same thing about breaking dawn. In fact, I think she even admits that she struggled in getting through writing it on her acknowledgements page in the book itself. It's totally obvious that she took the easy road in using the very typical, totally un-surprising plot turn of Bella getting pregnant. Not very original. And I almost think that there is just too much going on that there ends up not really being any character development and the everything is moving way too fast.
Am I the only one who HATED the scene in which Edward practically begs Jake to bang Bella and give her a baby?

  • robert-cro

I know what you want to say …., but I do not agree …

Did you forget the most important fact of all …. Bella is not human, she is a vampire, and the most important part …
She's NEWBORN VAMPIRE, which means a threat to everyone, even for HER own child …
It would not be normal, that she show a human emotions ..

Blood, do you remember, is the most important for newborns

  • bookaddicted

@Kella, re you last centense… No, No and NO!!! I feel like SM left Edward with little dignity. At least she wrote Bella reaction to killing her baby very well… which I love very much.

  • booksaddicted

    I mean sentense

  • ashleyisagoddess

This situation is such a 'catch-22' for me. To be honest, I didn't really care for most of BD as a book. There was a great wedding, an awesome setting for a honeymoon and then, fade to black… WTF? I knew then that this book was going to disappoint me. So I might actually welcome a slightly different take on a book I thought could use some improvement from the screenwriter in the movie.

    BUT!

MR has already shown me her take on this series in the other three movies and shown me her interpretation leaves a lot to be desired.

I admit, I do not have high hopes for these movies. I just hope the wedding and honeymoon are great. And if it weren't for Rob, Kristen, Ashley, Jackson, Kellan, Peter and Billy, I might swear off this movie if I keep watching or reading MR's interviews. LOL!

  • Twilight_a_drug_2_me

Hey, I have an idea, let's do a re-read on BD so we can have discussion on it!
    Let's not wait! Anyone?

  • LipBitinBabestuknOhio

I agree with the Kristen & Taylor kiss in Eclipse…it was much more passionate and sexy.

  • http://www.fanfiction.com/~youroasis Nutty for Taylor’s MCNutters

    of course they will.

and yes its not a normal birthing scene but it is normal if you wanna birth a half human/half vampire baby. i thought all the blood and the baby biting her and her drinking blood was normal and expected. its instinctual. if its half vampire, of course it needs blood it makes sense. what i meant was Saw tortures people for fun. thats more demented and i worry about people who enjoy watching that.

  • Kella

But she is not like a typical newborn vampire from the start…so therefore not a threat to her child or anyone else. She surprises everyone, including Carlisle, with the ease in which she transitions into a vampire. She does not have the crazy bloodlust like most newborn vampires have. And they are all shocked, and even Jasper is a little jealous as to how quickly and easily it all came to her. And in fact, she proves almost immediately that she can be by her daughter without a problem. The fact is, even though she can sit and hold her daughter for hours, thats all she occasionally does…while other vamps like Rosalie do everything else. There was just not enough scenes showing the loving relationship between Nessie and both her parents. I understand that there was a bunch of other crazy stuff going on during this time in the storyline, but I guess I just wish SM would have made a little more time to show Edward and Bella as active, nurturing parents.

  • Kella

Yeah, not only did SM kill Edward's dignity, but she also killed the personal character she built of him in the previous books.

Here is my problem with her having Edward give Jake this offer. He is supposedly under the impression that Bella only wants to keep this baby, cuz she really just wants a baby. For some reason he is believing that Bella would be happy with any baby as long as she gets a baby. But that is obviously not the case, we know that Bella wants the baby cuz she has already bonded with it, and she wants to keep it cuz she knows it's her and edwards baby. So, why would Edward and Bella have not had this discussion? Why would Edward be acting under this misapprehension for so long, wouldn't a couple have already hashed this out by now. Are we to believe that Edward and Bella had absolutely no deep conversations about this since getting back from their honeymoon? Wouldn't Bella have explained to edward why she wants to keep THIS baby, and that she doesn't just have some secret desire to be a Mom? I mean, I think Bella would be really hurt and insulted if she found out that Edward had basically implied to Jake that Bella just wants ANY baby to be happy, which would be sorta impling that she doesn't have a special connection already with the baby she is pregnant with. How could Edward, as her husband, be this dense? And I refuse to believe that him and Bella wouldn't of had this discussion and cleared up this misunderstanding already. We all know that Edward is terrified of her giving birth to this child, and that he thinks it's an evil vampire spawn and it's gonig to kill her just carrying it and that's why he doesn't want her to keep it, but I refuse to believe that he doesn't understand her desire to have it cuz it's THEIR baby.

  • Kella

I don't know… I could barely get through it the first time without hurling it through a window :)

  • Kella

See that's the weird story telling of these books, certain story angles and plot devices are used when convenient and then forgotten about when they are not, for example, some people pointed out that while Edward says in Eclipse that he has made a decision to not be bothered by Bella's blood anymore since thinking she was dead for 24 hours, why then can't he make love to her? If he has made the decision that he could never possibly hurt her and can supress his bloodlust for her since now he knows what it feels like if she was dead, then why is the sex thing still a problem?

Or like you said in your comment, as a newborn she should have this uncontrollable bloodlust and therefore that's why she has to stay away from Nessie and can't be a more active parent…but she doesn't stay away from Nessie, in fact, she does hold her alot when she's around so bloodlust can't be used as an excuse why she doesn't do more motherly things. You can't have it both ways.

I also thought in the beginning of the series that Alice's ability to see into the future was solely based on the decisions people had already made, but it seems as we get further into the series, Alice can see almost everything, not depending on people's decisions.

  • Lu :)SPIDERFLIPPY&LIZZYMsBLING

Yes, positivity :) I’m not excited about it yet.. it sems way too far away :.. anyway, how’ve you been? :)

  • lovinggrandmother

Ok I cant sleep, so what I doing is checking all the comments again. Like I said earlier I think that everyone should go back and read the books AGAIN. I find that when there is something in question the best things is to go back and look for it I have done this many many times- and not just on this series of book I have done it with Harry Potter also- and other series books- although I have to admit haven't read them as many times as I have the Saga. Having some maturity behind me I find that we as a society tend to read but not really read in between the lines so to speak. We in this case read and see what we want to see rather than actually comprhending what we just read- in this case you have to read between the lines especially in the last half of the book. Bella is not in complete control of her bloodlust- remember the first hunt? she smelled the humans and started to chase them but turned and growled at Edward and then ran. She even says she couldn't feed nessie because of the blood.
She was protecting her child in just that instance, and then the cullens give bella and edward there first night together in the cottage, but after that you need to realize that nessie is with them, it goes for a period of a couple months they are planning there trip to S.A. before Iriana shows up and see's Bella, Jacob and Nessie hunting and all the action starts You have to read into it, also it leaves options for more books if you think about- many of us are interested in the between time- Charlie, Lea, seth the rest of the wolf pack, Jacob becoming the Alpha – so doesn't this make sense.
I have a friend she is a teacher, she reads as much as I do which is alot and we got into disagreement about the story and when I tried to explain she just didn't get it she didn't get past new moon, but these books are well written and have a wonderful story to them not everyone is going to get it until you are older maybe but I sure as H____ do I remember that first love the intensity and loose ( sorry getting tired) of that love there is absolutley nothing like it. It stays with you forever- So, go pick the book up again and read it again and again. I am not ashamed to say I ve read it going on 15 times and I still feel the same way when I read over and over. Yes, I am very much a romantic and absolutely love these books, but manage to read alot of other stuff too. Reading is health and the more you read the more you comprehend. MR. SM. and BC know what we want that is why they are dong 2 movies to give the fans and faithful followers the best that they can give us which hopeful will be the best of the movies so far, now i must say Goodnight. I am rattling on to much and can't type anymore.

  • TeamSwitzcob (aka Meg)

I pretty much have no expectations for this. Most likely no JPOV (which blows HARDCORE b/c that involves important stuff and a good look at things), and I highly doubt she'll get the kid right. The birth scene will be watered down, I'm sure, and I doubt she'll even write the “sex scenes” (if you want to call them that) correctly.

The imprinting will be royally effed, I'm sure. Though i seriously hope Rob lays off of stupid baby jokes. It isn't funny — it's gross, so if he must tease I hope it's not during promo. Keep it to the set.

  • http://www.fanfiction.com/~youroasis MCNutters [Team Nessie]

i agree except for the imprinting. i have faith in condon for some reason. seems like a guy with taste.

all those issues are why SM is gonna be more involved, i think. they need her for backup and info. im gonna be hopeful but not too hopeful after having watched a boring movie called eclipse.

  • EAD_TwistAArmpitHair

The filming will start before we know it. Months and months of onset pics. YES! I am ok. I was away for a bit. A death in the family. This has been my therapy. I am smiling once again.

  • Lu :)SPIDERFLIPPY&LIZZYMsBLING

Yeah, it will hit me once filming starts :)
Aww :( . I am so sorry to hear that, my condolences :( . I lost my gran last month and the orgs helpedcheer me up too .. it’s always fun when you’ve got people you can go crazy with without judging you :)

  • TeamSwitzcob (aka Meg)

Even with SM involved I don't think it matters that much considering she lobbied for parts to follow the books that were important and it didn't matter. Plus she said in an interview something about how it wouldn't change that much. Can't help it…. just not overly interested anymore. Rosenfail will mess things up in some way. Guess I'm being quite negative about it, but then again it was by far the worst book in the series IMO :

  • lovinggrandmother

I am not picking on you but you really are not getting your books straight go back and read them more slowly and more carefully, I don't think that you have really comprehended the story as much as you think or rather your understanding of the story. Stephanie builds on her characters and from reading your posts you really do need to go back and read from the beginning to the end. As I have said previously comprehension is a big part of these books.

  • lovinggrandmother

    MR has a weak stomach?

  • jasperismydestiny

I wish I could say that she need to realize, “real Twi-Fans” want the characters and BD's storyline and not a “Kristen-Robert-Taylor” saga. But I can't say that. Why? Because there are still idiots who said that Eclipse was a good movie because “it has lots of Kristen and Rob kissing scene and Taylor in his shorts”. That will most likely convince her to write more Rob & Kristen scenes and less of Taylor speaking as Jacob and more shirtless scene of his. -_-!
But meh *shrug* . It's not my favorite book and she have destroyed my favorite book anyway so I'm only looking for the storyline to be told here at least correctly.

  • EAD_TwistAArmpitHair

*hugs* Sorry about your gran. I lost my brother. Too young. But you are right. This has helped me tremendously. I have smiled and laughed this week coming back onto here and fb. One day at a time.

  • robert-cro

I don't understand here … Do we discuss here about the book, or about how and what should be shown in the movie ..
I have read many comments and I see that many people discuss about the book, not about the movie …
Book is what it is ..
Someone like more, someone less .. Someone also understands better, someone understands less, which is obvious by some comments ….

For me is important, and I think for all as well, to make an adaptation in the best possible way …
Formula is: – They should stick to books …..
As for MR, I think that in this interview did not say anything bad …. Neither do I literally don't want to see explicit scenes of teeth in the placenta … Is not that disgusting ?…, but they can easily imply …

    Should there be blood? YES
We need to hear the cracking of bones? YES
Seeing Bella's pain and suffering? YES

But we don't need to see in explicit way (placenta) … I think she's meant to say that ….
