Kristen Stewart’s Interview with MovieLine

Here is Kristen Stewart’s interview with MovieLine at TIFF! In the interview she discusses her character, Marylou and Dean’s (Garrett Hedlund) relationship and how the book relates to today’s world.

“They really are ‘simpatico.’ It was a tumultuous relationship. And it’s hard to love like that, but they were so in love with each other and you don’t know this from reading the book, but they stayed lovers until the end of his life.”

“He kind of raised her and she always had a place in his heart, even though there were a lot of spots in that heart, but she was definitely one in the center and the same goes the other way around,” Stewart said of Marylou and Dean, the On The Road names of the real-life individuals described by Kerouac. “They both helped each other grow up.”

    Saw the movie in Toronto, save your money and wait until it comes out on the red box. The novel is so much better, I just did not find the characters believable enough. If like lots of sex scenes with small boobs, than this is your movie then.

    Well the film isn’t for everyone and the novel isn’t either.
    The film was faithful to the book and the whole cast was amazing . If the only thing you got out of the film is “lots of sex scenes and small boobs” them you need to reevaluate the film and the novel.
    Ummm… how can you not find the characters believable if it’s based on real people who’s lives were documented .
    Bree , stop trolling I know who you are and stop trying to find a way to bash Kristen .
    Move along sir and go back to twitter to your other friends who the only thing you guys do is hate on Kristen.

    U know what’s kind of strange but amazing I actually wrote a play on how their characters hermione bella and katnis met up in the city had lunch and got to talk and hang out too. I’ve been very much obsessed with writing plays about how the characters from harry potter twilight and hunger games get together and get along and now I see it happen in real life. Its a dream come true. It feels like these 3 ladies r living my dream of an unusual remarkable potential friendship. I think a lot of other celebrities including the so called reality stars like the kardacion aka the barbie dolls from hell and the housewives can learn something from these fine young women. And their characters. They may not be perfect but what the heck they r amazing

    What does small boobs have to do with anything? There are so many problems with that one statement and offensive to women everywhere. You make it sound as if women with a smaller than average breast size are less of woman or sexual being. Anyways take a women studies course and you’ll know what I mean.
