Kristen Stewart to Attend Toronto International Film Festival

There’s been a lot of buzz about a potential Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson run-in at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.

Gossip Cop can report, however, that there will be no awkward encounter between the Twilight stars.

Sources at the Toronto International Film Festival confirm to us that Stewart will be there — not at the VMAs in Los Angeles — to do press for On The Road.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop hears from MTV sources that Pattinson was never confirmed to attend the awards.

While Stewart will definitely not be at the VMAs, should Pattinson end up attending, a decision will be made several days before the event.

In other words, the Stewart-Pattinson collision the tabloids are desperate to watch just isn’t going to happen — at least not at the Staples Center next month.

We all knew that they wouldn’t be doing much promo together. But possibly no Rob either at the VMA’s??

    I am sorry but this just sucks. Personal lives are their business. I just hate that all this drama is before the end of the saga. This really sucks!

    I can’t wait to see her I was actually deciding if I wanted to go to TIFF because I LOVED On The Road now her being there will icing on the cake I’ll take down anyone who blurts anything rude to her . Sooooooooo exciting she was so proud about this film good to see her promoting it with the other cast members which I’m sure will also take care of her . Ahhhhhhh I’m so happy I finally hopefully get to meet her or just catch a glimpse.

    So agree. It will be difficult to watch Bella and Edward’s happily ever after and not think of Rob’s broken heart.

    I understand it’s their lives BUT THIS IS THE LAST MOVIE AND I THINK FANS DESERVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF STUFF ! This sucks ! That’s why I can’t stand onset romances they end up being a bust.

    I know, I was hoping it would get better, but now that Rob is out promoting his movie, their like wild animals feeding on a carcass. When Kristen surfaces it will be a real feeding frenzy. I feel bad for Rob.

    She may cancel but I hope she doesn’t. I was all for her laying low — for HER — but she may need to get out there and get some exposure again. Just not with Rob — the fans WOULD be horrible then.

    One thing that would hurt me — if they were doing promo together and they booed her and he did not defend her. I would understand it — he’s hurt and angry — and the attitude could be “that’s what you get” but it would still be difficult to see.

    Rob is not the only one hurting in this situation Dee , Kristen must be hurting more deeply .

    I am SO glad she’s skipping this year. By next year this will all have blown over but this year…no way. Rob could still go — because of all this he’s doing really well — not that it was bad before — but he’s up there in the approval rating. If he does go I would like to see him with Taylor Lautner — that could be fun.

    He may skip it though — the jokes could be hurtful and then the camera would pan to him and I don’t want to see that.

    I heard MTV told the host Kevin Hart to bann all jokes referring to Kristen because MTV always accepted twilight and know we are the only reason why there ratings always went through the roof .
    But it stills frightens me because you know comics always want to push the envelope and leave everyone in shock Kevin Hart has already made fun of this situation in public T.V before so I kind of hope rob doesn’t go either .

    Oh no , I really hope she does not cancel TIFF she should go support her movie that she was amazing in .If she does end up going I well try my best to give her space but I probably just sneak in something like ‘Your real fans ares till rooting for you ” . Something motivational so she does not feel like all her fans have turned against her.
    I just hope she comes out of this whole situation as a stronger woman.

    NO offense but are you kidding? She is just another hollywood tramp now who stomped all over not only RPs heart but possibly broke a family with CHILDREN apart. This movie is ruined for me now, every time I see a scene with them together I am going to cringe.

    THANK GOD!!! I was starting to think for a second that I was the only one hoping that she is okay, since she hurting hurting even worse with everybody sending her hate mail and having little friends. But when she does get bashed during promo I hope rob defends her too becasue if he doesnt I will probably hunt him down and just inflict pain in some way

    I would be disappointed in him but I would understand. He’s coming from an angry place. But the thing is — he would later probably be disappointed in himself. Just FYI…someone tweeted that in New York he was signing autographs. The tweet from someone named @xinnerbitchx stated:

    Rob stopped signing when someone bashed Kristen. Before he hated people hating on her and he defends her, nothing changed. He said back off.

    She did not broke that family! A guy with a wife and children who decided to cheat on his wife destroyed the family. If it wasn’t Kristen it would be someone else for sure…yes she did her part, but she is not the one who took wows and promised loyalty!

    Glad to hear she is starting to live her life. I think it will be good for her to get out in front of this whole mess and move on in a positive manner. I have read Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road”, and it is an absolutely wonderful book. I hope the screen adaptation is accurate. While I know that “The Twilight Saga” was a big box office hit, it definitely wasn’t a series designed to make the audience take any of these actors seriously. It’s usually the small indie films that showcase an actor’s true skills. This could be the role that stretches her acting talents and shows what she is really capable of as an actress. Maybe then people will stop judging her on the basis of this whole mess and appreciate her as an artist.
