Forbes has rolled out a list of the top paid actresses for the period May 2011 to 2012 and Kristen Stewart is #1, beating out Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Sandra Bullock.

1. Kristen Stewart, $34.5 million
2. Cameron Diaz, $34 million
3. Sandra Bullock, $25 million
4. Angelina Jolie, $20 million
5. Charlize Theron, $18 million
6. Julia Roberts, $16 million
7. Sarah Jessica Parker, $15 million
8. Meryl Streep, $12 million
9. Kristen Wiig, $12 million
10. Jennifer Aniston, $11 million

The Twiboys don’t do too shabby either, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson tied for 10th on the actor list with $26.5 million. Go team!

But you realize this list is absurd though, it doesn’t mean she’s the BEST actress in the world. It’s just funny (lame) how the list of women goes from very young to older, the older you are, the less you’re getting paid because you don’t have the youth market. Julia Roberts definitely made as much as Kristen Stewart when she was younger, it’s just that the older you get you’re less popular and you lose the youth market who will pay money to see your movies. Meryl Streep is an absurdly amazing actor and she only made $12 mil last year? Because she doesn’t have the youth market and she’s not in some teeny bopper flick, obviously, this is why Kristen Stewart gets paid so much, because the movies made so much, it’s not about talent, it’s about demand. Not to say she’s not talented, but it’s not based on how great she is and none of them “deserve” as much as they make. They’re not curing cancer. It’s just as much as the movie makes and what they can command based on sales. And Tom Cruise, who is 50 years old is at the top of the list because he’s in insanely high grossing action films. Which of course sucks for women because it’s a double standard, a woman will never have that draw or make that much. I’m surprised Robert Pattinson didn’t make more off the Twilight movies but he’s not doing that badly.

If they added both BD movies in KS why not add them in for Taylor and Rob? Sadly this list is kind of biased. I don’t think T & R would be this low with the DVD sales and BD movies. I wonder who will be on top next year when twilight is done? And I agree bout Tom Cruise what was said.

But it does mean we’ll see a lot more of Kristen, since she proved with both SWATH and BD that she has box office draw, and the combo of both is why she did so well on this list.

I think the really sickening thing about the inequality in pay, not just the age thing you mention, is that all 11 of the top guys would have placed higher than #3 on the actress list. There are are a lot more guys making a lot more money.

Exactly! And that will never change, same for women directors (of which there are very few successful ones). It’s gross, Hollywood is a messed up entity but as long as the public is willing to pay for movie tickets and rentals and dvds it’ll continue. And as long as Tom Cruise types are in action blockbusters…$75 million in one year, unreal.

Same how I see it. There is no talent to speak of but every immature fan will pay whatever it costs to see her, just because she was the bella in twilight. It strongly depends on which films you act in. If it would have been Emily Browning (SM personal choice) then everybody would grovel at her feet. Sad how she messed up big movies like SWATH..and only because a good story from a good author made her big.

Um…I think you’re in the wrong forum. This is where the positive and uplifting people come to say nice things. SM liked Emily Browning BEFORE she met Kristen and before Kristen was cast. She has since said nothing but good things about Kristen and the casting — it’s all on her website. And, just because you choose to like someone doesn’t make you immature — it just means you don’t hate for hate’s sake.

That is true ,but actors like Rob and Kristen work 24/7 trying to produce films that we fans go see they work super hard . I personally think Kristen deserves all that money for all the hard work she did for SWATH and BD pt 1 trying to pleases us fans which I personally was satisfied .

I think it’s ridiculous to get a few million bucks for getting pampered at the set. I’m mean yeah she does work hard, but she travels to beautiful places, learns all kind of cool stuff like how to ride a horse and like that’s not enough, she get money shoved up her ass. She’s not risking her live for anybody or care about anybody. She get’s almost 35 million dollars for having the same expression over almost 2 hours. Yeah..go Kristen..you really deserved it O.o

Someone explain to me why Jennifer Aniston made 11 million. She is one of the worst, one dimensional actresses I’ve ever seen. She’s made a career out of playing “Rachel”, and she is the same in EVERY movie. I don’t know anyone that feels differently. Of the movies that she’s done that I like, it’s not because of her, it’s because of the people she’s cast with. And don’t even get me started on her with the whole “Boo Hoo Woe Is Me” schtick with the “Brangelina” thing. We’ve ALL had our hearts broken, stomped on and spit back at us. Enough!

As for CO$ higher up Tom Cruise, I say “Run Katie run! You go girl!” With that kinda change he can start auditioning for a new wife real soon.

Now to Kristen. You would NEVER know this judging by how she acts. I’ve said it before and I will again (now). She is REAL, and doesn’t have her head up her ass thinking she’s better than us. This is a no nonsense girl that seems like she’d be willing to sit down to lunch with you and just hang out. She is freaking fabulous.

Kristen so deserves this. I was lucky to see Kristen on the red/black carpet for the Breaking Dawn 1 premier last year in LA. She is beautiful, tiny, sweet and very devoted to her fan’s. Robert is the same way. It was a thrill for this senior. First time ever, premier. Kristen and Robert are such a refreshing young couple in Hollywood Today.

forbes has a bee in their bonet this year for rob. they had that big write up about taylor being more popular then rob this yr, and now. rob didn’t have a mainstream film this year. last year he made more then kristen, because he had two mainstream films (twilight and wfe) forbes had nice little write up about rob’s movies making a profit last yr. this year they took a swipe at wfe calling it cheap, and remember me. all of rob’s mainstream films have made their budget with profit. odds are rob won’t be on this list next year, because he is focusing on arthouse films. i’ve seen many nasty articles out about rob being jealous of kristen. kristen made the list mainly for twilight, with snow white added in. like rob did last yr (twilight with wfe added int) i don’t see why rob would be jealous of kristen. brad pitt didn’t make the make the top forbes list this yr, but jolie did. i don’t see articles out about him being jealous of her. it seems since rob wants to do indies for awhile many in the media are making him suffer for it.

breaking dawn 2 and otr will be the only ones to count for next yr. unless they do a sequel to snow white within a yr span, and release it. otr because it’s an indie won’t carry a lot for forbes. they only care about the money, and indies usually don’t bring in a lot. just like with rob. breaking dawn 2 will count, but his indies (bel-ami and cosmopolis) won’t add a lot to his total.

forbes in their write up said the bulk of her money came from bd with snow white added in, that is how she made more then rob and taylor. that is where the bulk of rob and taylor’s money came from too. well with rob it was only twilight, because wfe was counted last year.

What is with the nasty comments on what Kristen made… that amount of money is before tax, agency fees and all that. By the time everyone takes their shares, it wont be $35 millions. This girl is in practically every scenes of of the Saga… and she worked since she’s a child. If she’s well paid…let her be, she took almost nothing for “On the Road”… Why is it that when people makes a lot of money that they didn’t inherits and work for it people are complaining. Is her fault that teachers, fireman, soldiers and everyone else don’t make a lot of money… how many here that are up in arms… when they make a lot of money… do they give any to teachers, firemen and others… no… they just want to dole out other peoples earnings.

I agree..but that’s just the way life is. Why do teachers get paid so low, yet they are so crucial to a child’s learning? Why do sportstars get paid so much…to play a game? Why do people get paid so much…to act in a movie? Yet nurses, firefighters, policemen and policewoman get next to nothing. Why do politicians spend more time arguing than doing? I can totally see where you’re coming from and you make a really valid point. And yea really I have no good answer other than I do agree with you. But out of all the celebs in Hollywood, only the truest and those who care about performance deserve what they get.

She always makes time for her fans. She’s not stupid, she knows who butters her bread. A lot of celebs forget really quick that is because of the FANS that they are where they are. I mean if we don’t plunk down the money to see their movies, they pretty much don’t have a career do they? It’s all about numbers, and if their films don’t produce those numbers they fade out pretty fast. She however, gets it.

Well that was rather harsh. This isnt bashonkstew.com, it’s a fansite for all the actors. And if you read the book carefully you would have known that Bella is a shy type and has, just like her father Charlie, some problems with expressing her emotions. Kristen has a lot of expressions but it just happens that she nowadays takes more fighter roles.

If you have seen all her movies, like I have, you would know that she actually can play a happy girl, or a very serious role.
