The Twilight franchise star explains why she committed to the role she plays in the upcoming feature release, On the Road.Though her role as Bella Swan in the über popular Twilight film series made Kristen Stewart a bona fide star, she’s been a working actress since her teen years. Her parents both work in film and television, and Stewart thought she would become a writer/director; but, she signed with an agent after a performance in an elementary school Christmas play. At 13, she played a rape victim in the telefilm, Speak, and has been busy since then. Her breakthrough came in the thriller,Panic Room, and she’s added to her film credits with such features as Snow White and the Huntsman, the biopic, Into the Wild and, her latest, On the Road.
