Nikki Reed in ‘Snap’ To Premiere at SXSW Film Festival

Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale) has a new film Snap which will premiere at SXSW Film Festival next week. Check out the new still and trailer. Snap is “about a schizophrenic dubstep fan and the girl he becomes obsessed with..”

“I know nothing about dubstep and even when we were scouting locations … I looked at the directors and I said, ‘Is this something I really need to research and thoroughly understand because this is totally foreign to me?’” Reed says. Fortunately her character Wendy is also new to the scene at the beginning of the film. “I did a little bit of research but for the most part I think Wendy is kind of removed from it. She’s not on Jim’s level with that.”

Reed adds that, “I think they were at a point in their [treatment where] they were able to break down and comprehend what this meant to them.” But she is quick to point out that while the film ties Jim’s character to violent behavior, that violence and schizophrenia “do not go hand in hand.”

Snap isn’t the only thing on Reed’s agenda at the Austin festival. She’s also performing with her husband, singer and former American Idol contestant Paul MacDonald during the music portion of the festival. The two had a song on the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 soundtrack and released an album of duets earlier this year. But is she still watching Idol? “In secret, I TiVo the show and then when he’s [Paul's] not home, I take out a tub of cookie dough and watch Nikki Minaj yell at people.”

Nikki Reed in Hanson’s Behind The Scenes of ‘Get The Girl Back’ Music Video

Nikki Reed (Rosalie “you got food in my hair” Hale) will appear in Hanson’s new music video Get The Girl Back. Here’s a behind the scenes look at the video.

What: The band recruited fans — including Nikki Reed, Kat Dennings, Drake Bell and Drew Seeley – to appear in the video for “Get the Girl Back.”

The Roundup: Although Hanson has known Nikki for a few years, Kat recently reached out to the brothers via social media to tell them she’s a huge fan! When the idea for the “Get The Girl Back” music video came up, the band asked the actresses to be in it. “It was a very fun thing because they [Nikki and Kat] are genuine fans of our band,” Isaac Hanson tells AOL Music. “It also didn’t hurt that they’re actually friends.”

And as for the women’s performances?

“We were really, really blown away by Kat and Nikki’s capacity to engage and make the scene work instantly,” Isaac says.

Hanson grew up to be really nice looking men!
