Cameron Bright Talks Twilight Saga!

Jim Brown interviewed Cameron Bright (aka Alec) recently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

The new “Twilight” film has captivated my home town of Baton Rouge with movie star sightings occurring throughout the city daily.  The various movie sets are surrounded by fans who want to catch a glimpse of the stars.  One of the films main actors is Cameron Bright, who has made over 20 films, and starred with the likes of Robert De Niro and Nichole Kidman.  Cameron and family members joined the Brown household for dinner this week.  He is a well spoken young man, so take a look at his thoughts.

Happy Birthday Cameron Bright!

Here’s a little info on Cameron:

Cameron Bright (born Cameron Douglas Crigger; January 26, 1993) is a Canadian actor. He has appeared in the films Godsend, Birth, Running Scared, Ultraviolet, X-Men: The Last Stand and Thank You for Smoking and appeared in The Twilight Saga: New Moon as Alec.  

Bright was born in Victoria, British Columbia; he was given his middle name, “Douglas”, after his maternal grandfather.   After a supporting part in The Butterfly Effect, Bright’s first major role was in Godsend, a horror film co-starring Robert De Niro; the film was released in April 2004 to mixed reviews. In his next film, Birth, he played a ten-year-old boy who claims to be the reincarnation of a woman’s (Nicole Kidman) deceased husband. Two scenes within the movie sparked controversyand drew media attention to Bright. In one scene, Bright and Kidman’s characters kiss; in the other, the two share a bathtub. 

Bright played the Volturi vampire Alec, twin brother to Dakota Fanning‘s character Jane, in the 2009 filmNew Moon’. He reprised his role as Alec in the 2010 film, Eclipse, which was based on the third book of the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. He has also been confirmed to reprise his role in Breaking Dawn, the final chapter of the Twilight series.

Wow I had no idea Cameron was so accomplished! And I’d forgotten he was the little boy that kissed Nicole Kidman!  Well now that he is 18 I can finally say it…Cameron you are smokin’ hot!
