Probably True Rumor: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Trailer to Premiere with Hunger Games
Before Lionsgate bought Summit, The Hunger Games trailer premiered on the big screen with Breaking Dawn Part 1.
Now that the studios are united, I think it’s safe to assume the trailer for Part 2 will premiere with The Hunger Games on March 23, 2012.
Think of the synchronicity: The Hunger Games is going to be a huge event, and the date is ideal-it’s after the Target preview on February 10th for the DVD release and before the traditionally Twilight-friendly MTV Movie Awards on June 3rd.
Just imagine: if the stars align, we might receive three huge Edward-filled presents over the next three months!

Carter Burwell Talks About Writing the Piano Piece in ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′
Carter Burwell mentioned the piece he wrote for Edward and Renesmee in Breaking Dawn Part 2 in a recent interview.
At what point in the filming process will you come onboard? Is the film usually finished by the time you see it and set the score?
Generally, I don’t actually write anything until a film has actually been shot. But, there are some exceptions.
In the movie I’m working on right now, which is “Breaking Dawn: Part II,” they needed Rob Pattinson and the actress who plays his daughter to play piano onscreen. I had to write this duet before they shot the film so they could actually learn the parts. Rob is a musician, so he prides himself on working out the fingering for these correctly.
I’m so excited to see Rob and Mackenzie performing together in this scene. It’s such a sweet daddy/daughter moment in the books.

Jackson Rathbone in Fault Magazine
Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) is featured in the winter issue of Fault magazine! Here’s part of the interview with Jackson.
FAULT: You’ve just wrapped all of the worldwide Breaking Dawn premieres, how was the tour?
JR: Each stop on our tour, from Madrid to Rome to Toronto to LA to NY to Chicago and so on, was a wild and wonderful experience in its own way. We are just so grateful for the love and support of our fans, who continue to inspire us. Getting to meet these fine folks around the world, face-to-face, is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as an actor.”
FAULT:Will we get to see Jasper’s character developed more in Breaking Dawn Part 2?
JR: Absolutely. In Breaking Dawn Part 1, we got to see a new, lighter side of Jasper. He’s finally able to let loose a bit, and smile! At the wedding, he gets to take his lovely wifey, Alice, for a spin on the dance floor. By the end of the film though, the tone gets darker and he’s fighting to protect his family, Bella and the baby. In Part 2, with the looming threat of the Volturi, you’ll continue to see the evolution of Jasper. ..
What a teaser! I’m ready for Breaking Dawn Part 2 now!
This issue with Jackson is available now here!

Director Bill Condon Reveals Current Runtime of Breaking Dawn Part 2!
Here’s a new interview with director Bill Condon, where he reveals some interesting details about both Breaking Dawn Part 1 and the current cut of Breaking Dawn Part 2, which is still in post-production:
- The current runtime (remember, it’s still a year away!) of Breaking Dawn Part 2 is 1 hours, 52 minutes without credits. This compares to 1 hours and 57 minutes for the final cut of Breaking Dawn Part 1. Condon started off with a 20 minute longer cut, but has so far decided to take out 20 minutes to make the story sing.
- He notes there is an easter egg in the credits, somewhere in the middle, not at the end since the credits are so long.
- For the inital Breaking Dawn DVD and Blu-Ray of Part 1 that comes out in the spring, there won’t be a different cut. But this could change in the future.
- Bill Condon suggests he was approached to direct previous parts of The Twilight Saga, but he couldn’t fit it in his schedule. He pitched his take on the book directly to Stephenie Meyer and other producers of the Saga.
Overall a very interesting interview! From early word, it sounds like the runtime of Breaking Dawn Part 1 is just right, and it sounds like he’s making Part 2 the best it can be! Here’s an interesting tidbit about Part 2:
Part of what I was turned on by with this whole thing was being Kristen Stewart’s collaborator as she now steps through the looking glass and becomes a vampire. You’ve watched these vampires from a distance. It’s only been her point of view. Now she is one. She—-we are vampires. It’s seeing the world through the eyes of vampires as imagined by Stephenie Meyer.
