Breaking Dawn Set In Brazil Was Not Vandalized, Fire Was Part Of Filming?

As previously reported, the Breaking Dawn set in Brazil was reportedly vandalized.  Well, there may be a new twist in this tale of fiery events. Apparently, a fan was on set and described a different account of what happened.

Paulie (@paulie_foforks), a fan who was on set, cleared everything up to @CullensNewsCom: “I was exactly on this place. They set a fire on a wall to make it look older. The fire was totally on purpose.  In the end, due to strong winds, the fire burned and melted part of a chemical toilet, nothing serious, totally controlled. They claim it was a rebelion by locals. It was not! At the time this happened, they hadn’t even closed the streets yet, there were no ‘angry locals’ around.

Sooo, what do you all think?  I think until November 18th, 2011 rolls around, we will be hearing a lot more of these types of stories…and probably even more scary ones. :(

    I’m so glad the set wasn’t vandalized!! I feel so bad for the cast and crew, and all the media crap they have to put up with just because the franchise is popular, the set being vandalized like that would have just been awful. Also, The Twilight franchise is ending relatively soon…so we have to make sure to support the cast in their other ventures. I recently saw Welcome to the RIleys, drove all the way from San Diego to L.A. with friends to see it…. and it was amazing!! Everyone should go see it.

    You know what… I’m Brazilian and I’d say ppl must go to Brazil at least once before they say it is all violence and death…gee! Let’s talk prejudice… Btw, I got married on an island in Paraty two years ago…and I don’t remember it being all about forests and waterfalls (even though there are many beautiful ones there), so they are showing (again!) that biased image about Brazil. Won’t be surprised if they find some alligators and monkeys for this movie either…

    yeah thats right we all got pissed off and worried and scared out of my wits for freakin nothing!!! thinking oh this is just the begining and that something serious could happend because thats how peeved the locals are I DO NOT like being played for a fool! I just have a little message to SCUMMIT the next time they pull a stunt like that again I will make it my mission to hunt their a$$es down! >.<

    I wish I could see it BOY do I wish! but unfortunately I live in Northern California DAMMIT!! I really REALLY want to see this movie I have waited for months thinking I will be able to see it no problem it is NOT FREAKIN FAIR! that everyone(who can see it) gets to see it but me >:(

    The worst thing is the majority of news that has been putting it in a negative light are the ones that aren’t even there… They base everything on rumors & I’m sick of it.
    You’d think journalists would know better than to write stories w/out proof of what they’re writing about…
    I think all of this crap being put out there is such a waste of time.
    I frankly would rather no news than incorrect news…

    Apparently it was the crew. the porta potty was set on fire by accident. but they did do it to the wall for some reason. we’ll have to wait until next year to hear what really happened.

    It was not just MTV that posted articles with this information. Google it, you will see. SUMMIT did nothing to stop it. That is what pisses me off. Suckmit allows crap like this to go on unchecked because it causes the fans to go nuts AND draws in non-fans to the franchise.

    Whenever I have seen other false articles about what has happened on sets (I follow more than Twilight) – the companies that post the false story as well as the company producing the movie come out and print articles that it was FALSE. The information given here was from neither Suckmit nor MTV, but a FAN that was in the area at the time. I stand by my earlier comment.
