I hear you…

I, myself, believe in “right down the middle”. Keep true to the books and fans. But for those who don’t know the story and only see the movies…helping to entertain men in ways they need, makes certain sense. And while I love the LOVE STUFF, action is fun for me to watch as well. ☺

There’s so many movies I’ve seen that are based off books, and I’ve noticed…very rarely do you get the same story on-screen. True Blood does that with the TV show, too, it’s kinda close in some areas. And some scenes are WAAAAAAY out there, lol.

As long as I get to look at Rob…*sigh*…makes me happy first…

Yeah, we all have our lil things that makes are heads spin around, for me it was the coat that Bella was wearing in the scene in the forest when Edward was leaving her. I really disliked that coat..I just was way to big and the color on her was awful..can you believe in this scene(the worse of all scenes) I’m letting apparel upset me? Crazy..!!

I don’t want to see an action movie. Really, I’m confused: if the story is about Bella’s POV, that means, it’s basically just about Edward and Bella, then why they need to add action and more action, in stead of love and more love??! Why?! I LOVE HOW STEPHENIE WROTE BD, why add a battle sequence at end of the movie??

I appreciate everybody’s opinion here I simply cannot understand some of you, when at the same time you’re “be true to the book” -.- NO physical fights, but YES “MIND FIGHTS”. It Refers to power of mind-reading, shield, cut off senses, inflicting pain, mood-control and etc.!!!!

Clicks “like” over and over! I totally agree (mostly) The point is to show that because the Cullens are different and love more deeply that, along with thier friends, can be invincible. I do feel that the whole gathering was necessary to show that they have support, due to thier caring and love for friends and they would all band together against the Volturi and thier “power trip”, even if they might die. But of course Bella is the savior (and Alice for finding the other hybrid) showing she was totally meant for this life, as she predicted.

I really do think it would.

But apparently many people think that Breaking Dawn neeeeeeeeds a fight, to end in the right way……………………………….. -.-’

Please Stephenie do your best, don’t let this happen.

I see your point but I would prefer the way it was written, imo, but maybe they can have an alternate ending…..that would actually be great. More scenes for the dvd

YES!!…we are having a fight scene! At least the ending won’t be so disappointing. I mean really, we were going to have all these new characters with cool powers come in and NOT see any of them being used…c’mon.

Grrrr – Stupid computer!! I just typed this long response to you and my screen just changed and I lost everything! I’m going to try again.

I was just remembering my first time reading BD when you asked ‘how is that boring.’ I was up until 4am reading the last few chapters. I had caught a glimpse of the table of contents and saw that the last chapter was ‘The Happily Ever After.’ Then Bella was so sure of their eminent demise she was saying that if she and Edward were killed she wondered if they would be in the next life together, and as long as they could ‘be together in any place, then that was a happy ending.’ From that point on I was terrified that would be exactly what happens. They fight the Volturi, Jake escapes with Renesmee, all the Cullens die, but Bella proves to Edward he has a soul when they are in heaven together.

Of course I can’t put the book down now!! I should have thought that Alice would have to come back, but I was feeling what Bella was feeling – utter hopelessness and unavoidable death for all. In Eclipse the battle made sense… You had the Cullens and the wolves who had trained together against a bunch of strong but untrained, unorganized, and unprepared newborns – cake! The Volturi would be another story. You don’t fight the Volturi and walk away from it.

Anyway, the whole point of this is that the end of the story is exciting. I don’t think they could ever replicate what I was feeling the first time I read it, but it is still plenty exciting. They just want to make cooler trailers. Again, I just hope Stephenie keeps them in line and at least only puts in what COULD have happened.

Uh yeah True Bood is definitely NOTHING like the books. The only similar things are the characters and their names and even some of those have been changed. Um hello, Lafayette died at the end of Book 1 (Dead Until Dark). On the show we’re almost at the end of Season 3 and he’s still alive. Not that I’m complaining, I LOVE him and hope they never kill him off.

With True Blood and Vampire Diaries I’ve literally come to think of the shows and the books as two totally separate entities which is something I’ve never been able to do with the Harry Potter and Twilight movies and never will. Maybe its because Harry Potter and Twilight are SO much more special to me. I think the changes in True Blood and Vampire Diaries have made them even better, but HP and Twilight are so literally PERFECT exactly as they’re written that to alter them is ruining them IMO. Twilight and HP movies are much closer to the books than most so I guess we should all just be thankful for that, but there’s still some changes that are unacceptable.

if exterior is suppose to be taking place in vancouver….why would they be doing it in baton rouge at all?

*shrugs* To each their own, but who doesn’t want to see Carlisle and Jasper and Emmett beating the shiz out of the Volturi. Come on people!!! LOL

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was written with a big bang at the end and to get that big bang we had to lose ALOT of beloved characters in the process which is something most of us don’t want to see at all with Twilight. Actually pretty much that entire book is a big bang and they’re in the midst of a full scale war so it makes sense because the series was always leading toward a massive battle whereas Twilight wasn’t so Harry Potter doesn’t really make a good comparison in this case.

I’m not saying I’m against adding a fight between just a couple of people, but anything more wouldn’t make sense for the same reason Stephenie always says: if it had come to a fight then there would have been extremely heavy losses on both sides which means we would have lost at least one of our beloved Cullens and at least one of the wolves as well. Very few would have walked away.

I think maybe having Emmett getting over eager (as usual) and fighting someone like Felix seems most plausible. After Bella chooses Emmett and Jacob to accompany her and Renesmee halfway across the clearing to where Aro and Edward are and Aro brings Felix and Demetri with him would be the perfect spot because their little group is slightly separated from everyone else at that moment (so the chances of it becoming a full scale battle are much less) so maybe Emmett fights Felix and Demetri jumps in so Edward or Jacob or both have to do the same to save Emmett then Aro calls off Felix and Demetri so that he can keep up his little show of a fair trial which would keep their fight from becoming a full scale battle with everyone involved. That seems the only realistic way to do it and not lose any of the Cullens or their friends. After they all return to their own sides of the clearing there’s just way too much tension for there to be even the smallest fight without everyone jumping in and it becoming a battle to the death for all of them especially after Irina is killed which is when the situation came closest to becoming a fight. Also if you had more than 2 or 3 people from each side in a fight its too many and the rest would have joined in so most would have died. Unless you want to see people on the Cullens side die then a big fight or multiple fights is just out of the question under these circumstances because they were just too evenly matched. Plus you also have to remember that most of the time Bella has Renesmee on her back until Aro, Caius, and Marcus “council” and she puts her on Jacob’s back so Bella fighting anyone before that is impossible. Like l said I agree that the scene needs a little something more to jazz it up and would enjoy a SMALL fight, but the situation is so strained and tenuous from the start that you can’t go putting in fights just anywhere involving anyone without everyone jumping in and it becoming a complete bloodbath.

Its SO extremely complicated and they will have to work VERY closely with Stephenie to figure out where a fight could even work, who could be involved, the circumstances of the fight, how to end it, and how to do all of this without everyone else jumping in to help and dying. Yikes…

This issue may be really important to alot of people so I don’t want to offend anyone. If the change of location for the battle scene of BD is made and it’s helpful, then I really don’t care what the trees look like. The meadow scene was changed in New Moon from what it was in Twilight and IMO it was so much more beautiful.
To me the fact that the actors and production crew will be more comfortable and not having to deal with the extreme changes in the weather. It may very well prove to be less expensive because they won’t have to change this or build that because of the weather. Which should make everybody happier all the way around.

If I may intervene here. I get what you are saying, and the last thing that I want is to lose some beloved characters. But I think that the movies, especially Eclipse, has set up a war of sorts between the Cullens and the Volturi. I think that was one of the reasons behind the Bree novella. Showing that the Volturi want Edward and Alice for themselves, and in order to do that, they had to conspire with Victoria to end the Cullen clan.

I don’t think that just a “talk” between them, like was in the books, would be enough at this point.

And really, you can’t end a five movie saga with a “talk.” Not in my opinion and it be worthy of an epic saga.

I think the addition of the battles in NM and in Eclipse were nice and an added bonus. This is a vampire saga after all. Vampires don’t usually just talk out their problems. They are intense and violent and have those urges to lash out.

Just my opinion of course.

I think for the most part…do it as written, absolutely. Each movie is done closer to the books I’ve noticed, so hopefully Bill will keep that same track record going. But since I’m easy to please…I’ll just be excited to go see it…and hope no major re-writes were done because of TIME limits…ya know?

Well that’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it just as I’m entitled to mine. Its not “obsessiveness” with being “EXACT” just because you don’t want to see the lead character in the last films with their hair all of a sudden being almost 12in shorter than in the 3 previous films nor is it at all unusual. The only time I said anything about “EXACT” was in reference to the fact that the confrontation with the Volturi takes place in the exact same clearing as the battle in Eclipse and the baseball game in Twilight which is true so I fail to see what is “obsessive” or over the top about that. I NEVER said everything had to be “EXACT”. Only remotely close to the way its been for previous films. That’s all.

I also never said she wouldn’t be beautiful. She’s Stewy. Its a no brainer she’ll be gorgeous as always. She could shave her head and still be just as beautiful. Its really not about her, its about “Bella”. The point is the character has had the same hairstyle and length for 3 films so to change it now would be ridiculous. So you wouldn’t care if they all of a sudden made Bella a redhead or a blonde for BD despite being written as a brunette and having been one for 3 installments now? Because to have her hair almost 12in shorter than its been for the others is equally jarring. It might not bother you, but I can promise you it would most people. Looking the part is a huge portion of playing a character just like KStew had to cut her hair to truly become Joan Jett. If its just a couple inches shorter then that’s great, but any shorter is than that is too noticeable. Remember these books/movies are all supposed to take place roughly within a 2 year period so their appearances shouldn’t change much especially the vamps. Maybe you just don’t care about continuity, that’s fine, some people don’t, but alot of other people do and that certainly doesn’t make them “obsessive”.

i’d love to see a few fight scenes. they added them to NM and i think it really added to the tension. when i read NM i was reading it from bella’s perspective so i felt her terror, surprise, and shock. the fight scene made that visible.

Hope you will share some info about the filming. The actors are supposed to report there Oct 1 which gets closer.

So they don’t want fans around the set? That doesn’t quite seem right ! I am a lot older than most of the fans and would love to go to Louisiana and watch some of it. I live in Memphis and that wouldn’t be too far for me.
I was involved (only minutely)in the movie Gettysburg with Martin Sheen and Sam Elliott etc. and it was so much fun. Would definitely love to get pics and meet a few of them. Oh well !

The problem with knowing what town in Louisianna the filming is in is that you sont know exactly where they are filming or when so you cant go and see just what goes into shooting the different scenes which by the way if I had this information I would love to be able to drive over and see after all I kive in MS so its no that far.

I wanna see her take down that mountain lion, too! ☺ And yes, “You named her after the Loch Ness Monster?!?” line would be a crack up to hear!!

I’m glad they’re discussing a fight scene in the movie. I was pretty disappointed with the book. They build up to a huge epic battle and then nothing happens…lame.
