While The Twilight Saga has been a pheneomenom, the soundtracks have been just as successful.

Inspired by Stephanie Meyer’s love for bands like Muse and playlists posted on her website before the movies even came out, soundtrack supervisor Alexandra Patsavas worked her magic.

Out of the 15 acts of the bands on the Breaking Dawn Soundtrack, four are unsigned. How were the songs picked?

For the latest installment, Ms. Patsavas says she and her Chop Shop team of seven people weeded through 2,000 song submissions, then worked with director Bill Condon and editor Virginia Katz to decide on the best fits. Coloring the overall sound: the climactic wedding between the vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson) and his mortal love Bella (Kristen Stewart). Ms. Patsavas says she hunted for numbers that could be used (and now undoubtedly will be) at real-life weddings.

I’m incredibly impressed by the Breaking Dawn Soundtrack after hearing it during the exclusive event. I’ve already pre-ordered the digital version from but wish they had a a version on vinyl for collectors!

i’m sure they will have one come out, it took them a bit to get out the Eclipse vinyl. this hipster chick was wanting some awesome indie music to play on her turntable fa sho.

yay already got my copy off itunes, Australia must of released it early, LOVE IT LOVE IT, already listened to it a couple of times and sat there trying to put where each of the songs will be

Australia was lucky enough to have the soundtrack early. I bought a cd copy a couple of days ago. It’s fabulous – I highly recommend it. Mostly, the tracks are slower, romatic ones, but there are a couple of up-beat numbers that I can imagine parts of the movie unfolding to. Enjoy!!!
