Blink 182. Why? Let’s see… They’re last album contributed a lot of emotion and a little angst behind it. “Always” and “I miss you”. Those two you have right there, are pretty much cut and dry Twilight songs. You have “Down” and “Here’s Your Letter.” Those two songs have the same emotional impact like “Always” but the guitars and drums give it to you like you hit a brick wall. Distortion, heavy drums and fills, bass solos! Something Muse had… In the long, long ago. But my first band is Blink 182. Their sound has come such a long way since their first album Dude Ranch. Its grown up as they have. They come from three different genres of music and the three of them take the styles of music and form them into the songs that Blink 182 create.  Specially in light of their album release in September 2011. It only took over eight freaking years. This would be a good idea for some record sales, get their name out to the screeching teens that read the saga. And hopefully get them into good music.

We Are Augustines. I just heard these guys for the first time a few weeks ago. Their indie sound is similar to the sounds found on previous Twilight soundtracks.  Florence and The Machine, Band Of Horses, Band Of Skulls, Roslyn, Sea Wolf. “Chapel Song” is the song I would ask you to listen to. The vocals on the track is haunting. The intro to the song itself is amazing and effortless. We are Augustines should be in the beast, fact.

The New Pornographers. They are so BADASS!!! I’m surprised they haven’t been on the previous soundtracks!. “Moves”, “Use It” and “The Jessica Numbers”! The Twilight Saga soundtracks are known more for the underground, low key indie bands. These guys have the up beat type indie that Sea Wolf brought to New Moon and UNKLE brought to Eclipse. These dudes rule!!!

Bloc Party! Honestly the only good thing in the last ten years to come out of Britain. They have nice smooth lovey dovey songs like “This Modern Love” and “Kreuzberg”. And they have the sound that makes you want to dance like “Banquet” and “Flux” And the most epic of sounds that I have ever heard in “Version 2.0″ and “Luno.” I think that the Twilight soundtracks need a better class of sound. These guys can help put the nail in that coffin.

Nine Inch Nails. They pushed the envelope  a litte with Thom Yorke and UNKLE in previous soundtracks. And yeah, Nine Inch Nails aren’t around anymore. But Trent Reznor is. He’s got awards stacked on awards for his music, There’s a reason for that. He really really really good at what he does. “Into The Void” was the song playing on my ipod when my sisters were watching Twilight for the 15th time that day. And it fit perfectly as Bella was walking around a disproportionate school for like… three thousand. It made for a good mini music video. If you listen to the Ghost albums by Nine Inch Nails (Trent won a grammy for that, thank you.) “The Day The World Went Away.” Listen to that and tell me it wouldn’t have been perfect for when Eddie dumped Bella?!?!? It would have been perfect!

Adele… She can sing.. She’s got soul. Her voice alone could kick my ass. That’s all I have to say about that.

Blood Red Shoes. They have the capability of being the next Florence and The Machine. They have such an amazing sound. Emotion and heart in both the instruments and vocals. “When We Wake” Is a song I could hear on the soundtrack. “Take The Weight” and “It’s Getting Boring By The Sea” Are perfect examples for them to be looked at and considered.

Pinback. To keep with the whole indie feel of the soundtrack. The unknown but known artists. Pinback have a very unique sound to them. Not many people know who they are, but i can honestly say that they are very underrated. “Good To Sea”, “Devil You Know”, “Bouquet” (Get it? Eddie and Bella are getting married, duh.) and “Walters.” Yup.

Matt and Kim. They are a new kind of indie! Drum and keys will take over the world, and Matt and Kim will lead the charge. They were underground now all the hipsters are pissed cause they have a song out on the radio. But they are amazing. This soundtrack would be perfect! It’ll help them out like Metric and Florence and The Machine. They’re sound fits the Saga itself perfectly. “Daylight”, “Cutdown” and “Don’t Slow Down” Check it, yo.

Manchester Orchestra. I’d like to point out that these guys are better then your band… If you have one. If not, then they’re better then your friends band. They have soul in their music and a big FUCK YOU! in their voice. But it goes perfect when they’re together. “I Got Friends”, “Pride” and “The River.”

Taking Back Sunday. With their new album coming out an their single “Faith(When I Let You down)” out already. These guys are no strangers to the creative writing process for soundtracks (They were on damn near every Marvel movie’s soundtrack) They are great lyricists and musicians. They would make for a great track. Check out “Set Phasers To Stun”, “I’ll Let you Live” and “New American Classic.”

Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They have a certain sound to them. One that can specify a scene or a moment. Yeah Yeah Yeahs can have it so you can dance, mosh, spit, drink, fight or whatever you’re into. I would suggest these guys, no doubt. “Runaway”, “Heads Will Roll” and “10X10″

These are the bands I would like to see on the soundtrack. I honestly believe if you have atleast 5 of these guys on there, you’ll have a solid movie soundtrack. That’s all I have to say about Breaking Dawn. That and.. Renesme?… really?… Renesme? You.. Really?… REALLY?!

    …Jeez…

  • Cissi

I hope it will be released on vinyl!

  • Cissi

I also think the band “White lies” would fit perfectly for the soundtrack!

    Greetings from Sweden

  • Filipe

    EVANESCENCE!!!!!!!!!

  • Duska

I loved the songs by Robert Pattinson on the first album, so I’d like to hear more from him.  Also, ”Cosmic Love” by Florence + The Machine would be perfect!!!
Of course, we need some more Muse, and I agree the Mumford and Sons vote. “White Blank Page” would also be fitting.

  • asdfgjhkl;

Because most Muse fans hate the fact their music is in Twilight because, unfortunately, a lot of Muse fans hate Twilight because the people just know Muse for Supermassive Black Hole/Neutron Star Collision etc and it bugs them. It bugs me, anyway haha :P

  • Jasmine Kim

muse, florence and the machine, robert pattinson and jackson rathbone has to be on the next soundtrack.
