I hate when all the companies come out with different versions. I know they are out for money themselves, but come on. Aggravates the spider monkeys out of me.
It’s like when New Moon came out and I didn’t know which one to get, so I ended up buying three versions of it to get the different features…only to find them online a few days later. blah.

Oh I know! I got the Twilight DVD, then they came out later with an even better one with iTunes DL! I was so ticked, and yeah I bought it again!! UGH!

I have NO idea. I’m leaning toward the cheapest blu-ray one, because I’m hoping they come out with a Combo Set of all 5 movies at the very end.

I would go with Walmart but when I did that with the New Moon Special Edition it didn’t have any of the deleted or extended scenes in it! I had to borrow my friend’s to see it so now I don’t trust Walmart

I think they mean the DVD midnight release party. Walmart and other stores have midnight releases.

The websites and retailers are saying that the extended version only comes on the Blu Ray/DVD combo, and yet no one’s announced a combo pack…

I have a funny idea! How about all the same places sell all the same DVDs with all the same extra stuff? This way we don’t miss out on things and spend all our money. But, no, they don’t care about that do they? Ugh. And I’m reluctant to buy DVDs because I’m getting a Blu-Ray player for my birthday, which is in April. Should I buy the DVD in Feb. or wait until April to get the Blu-Ray discs? Hale no that’s too long of a wait! But what about all my other DVDs? Why do things have to be so difficult??

Doesn’t the Target one usually have more deleted and extended scenes? I heard that Target had exclusives with Summit to have more on their discs. It was why I purchased Eclipse from there when it came out (as opposed to Walmart like the others).

What does the iTunes have that the DVDs for purchase doesn’t? Or are they the same? I’ve purchased the Wal-Mart DVDs and then found these really cool “deleted” scenes on YouTube only to find out that they came from Target or something.

Just pre-ordered the “Wedding Gown” edition from Walmart.

I’m also pretty sure they will release a complete boxed set after Part 2 comes out, and I’m sure they’ll cram it with all kinds of extras.

Hey guys just did some detective work on Google and I found that on 4 different websites they are saying that there IS an extended cut of the movie, BUT only on the DVD/Blu Ray combo pack. But..what is a DVD/Blu Ray combo pack? Does that mean it comes with both the DVD and the Blu Ray disc? And why aren’t they letting us pre-order a combo pack, if that’s the case? Help I’m confused!

Yeah but still..I would want the Blu Ray disc to go with the Blu Ray player because I would want to watch it in HD. But if I do that, I would have to wait 2 months to watch it, because I have to wait until April to get the Blu Ray player. So, I could get the DVD in Feb., and watch it on the DVD player and the Blu Ray player, but then I would reallyyy want the Blu Ray version when I got my Blu Ray player!

they wont release a combo pack for pre-order…you have to wait and fight for that at the store…i bought the wedding gown blu ray set and i am hoping any extended sence will end up online so i get the best of both worlds!

It’d be nice if they had the “Combo DVD” Where theres the Blu-Ray, the Standard Disc and sometimes the digital copy. But, of Course, that would limit the money going into their pockets. Absolutely hate when they do this, its like New Moon all over again.

walmart has a picture of the bella’s wedding dress edition up on their website already so that you can see what it looks like… i also heard that there is supposed to be a 15-20 min extended version on one of the discs… can’t wait…!!! :O)

I feel EXACTLY the same way!!! I refused to buy New Moon because they were such bastards for putting different features on different versions and I didn’t want to give them the satisfaction of me buying all three versions to get the features I wanted. The little money grubbing twits!!! I got it online, but finally my Twi- Bestie bought the dvd for me for my birthday last year. LOL!! I’m still ticked they do that though…. aggravates the spider monkeys outta me too!!! Hahaha.

They don’t have anything different then the dvd/blu ray releases. Well, the Twilight dvd did have the digital copy and it had some really cool added features for itunes. But NM and Eclipse was all the same like the others.

I always get both, Wally and Tar-Zhay editions. They always tweak their editions to make them different so fans will buy it.

Walmart in my town, so I will be getting it. I just want the DVD to watch over and over. Could care less what the cover looks like-just give me the movie and the BTS and I’m happy )

Well I guess this means I’ll be buying one copy in Feb hopefully the combo pack, one copy when BC releases a directors cut(please,please,please), and then a copy when they release the box set. I am still holding out for a rated-R version but…
