you are missing this !!!! on twitter I don’t feel the excitement without them

seems like what you’re saying would be true, but maybe it costs too much to hold the space unused for so many months/years. i’m sure they have to rent the studio or land space and a quick rebuild is probably cheaper. i’m sure the house doesn’t have fully-working plumbing so i bet it’s cheaper than we think, you know?

According to the movie companions the original house from Twilight was in Portland. When New Moon was filmed the house was unavailable and they found a house in Vancouver that had tall ceilings which worked well for the shots needed. The exterior was never shown also. In Eclipse the house is an exact copy of the house in Portland built on a sound stage in Vancouver. I’m sure this is what they are doing for Breaking Dawn. I find it amazing that they recreate the sets flawlessly.

As I just mentioned my other post they can build prefabricated house in a matter of days, interior and exterior- they are similar to a double wide trailer but better made and can be taken and put back togeather easily. glad you looked it up though I thought that they rented the house in Vancover and then it went up for sale shortly after finishing the movie.:))

These pics make me want to cry a little. That is it guys, the house where it will all happen. Bella being pregnant, Jacob’s blonde jokes, Edward falling to his knees outside of the house begging Jacob to “give Bella puppies” … Bella giving birth .. Jacob imprinting on Renesmee .. Bella’s first experiences as a Vampire .. and her laying eyes on her beautiful baby girl ..

I look at that house and I’m happy, I’m sad .. I’m totally emo right now!!

It’s going to look great! I think Bill Condon and his big crew and cast will do a fab job. I look forward to seeing new tidbits every day of what is going on.
Question: Does anyone know why they are filming in Louisiana and Vancouver? Is it cheaper to do the indoor stuff in Louisiana (taxes?) and then they’re doing all the outdoor scenes in Vancouver to match the other movies? I’m just curious as to the reasoning, because I don’t think I read anywhere “why”, just that’s what they were doing. It doesn’t bother me or anything, I’m just curious.

I remember reading something about the tax breaks in both these places, esp. Louisiana. I could be wrong, though. Personnally, I can’t see the type of northwestern trees of Forks in Louisiana, but a lot of the story takes place in the house and spacious yard, and (hopefully) an island just off of Rio (yum). For Bella’s first hunt and Irena spotting Renesmee, I hope it is in our beautiful northwest forest though.

They could always replace the trees with CGI or something. Or maybe the different trees will indicate that they are in a different part of the forest or w/e?

The Cullen house being built at least shows that Summit is finally doing something to start filming the movie, in stead of just casting and casting… Good news though

Speaking of grown up stuff, I finally downloaded the BD audio book (instead of listening on youtube every time I travel via my Blackberry lol) and they totally skipped over the cottage scene…..what the hale?? Books are suppose to be read in full, not broken down into selected sections. If “kids” can’t read the entire book, then maybe they shouldn’t be reading it at all!

Okay, I’m done.

I just left the studios and here’s what happened. We were there maybe 20mins and two rent-a-cops called the police dept and reported us there and then took down our license plate number and as we drove off, took pics of our vehicles! The other day we were told that was a public street and could stay there and today they reported us to the cops and said it was private property!! I think your best chance now is to maybe see them around town and that’ll start getting a little harder once filming starts. Sorry it’s not better news for those hoping to camp out around the studio

me too I am happy and sad at the same time okay I need a happy thought the HOT men of Twilight saga theres my happy thought! no but seriously yeah this is where it all began it seems like yesterday that we all picked up a little book called Twilight and that is how it all started then coming on this AWESOME site to praise our awesome cast and I do thank SM for writing such a beautiful Saga and for CH being the first to bring the charaters to life and for that I will always be thankful and VERY grateful to Stephenie Meyer LOVE her and in the near future anything she gets out I will read same with JK Rowling anything she gets out I will read PS I do hope at some point SM will get out MS but I can dream

This is a bit random…..but the person does the voice of Jacob in the audio books, sounds like a grown up Taylor or something. It’s strange.

well that totally bites that they skipped the cottage sence and I agree books are susposed to be read in full and I am so sure breaking it down into selected sections?! and yeah I also agree if kids can’t the entire book then yeah they should not read at all WTH?! *_*

IKR?! and yeah all the things that will happen in the house and almost loosing Bella and Bella becoming a vampire and hunting for the first time Rosalie and Jacob having a show down Emmett and Bella having a arm wrestling contest I LOVED that part in the book! it was priceless! XD
