Recent tweets from the President of Rio Film, Sérgio Sá Leitão, suggest that they are in negotiations to have Breaking Dawn filmed in Rio for 5 days -

We can only assume that Rio would be used to film ISLE ESME! Which would be PERFECT! Here’s to hoping this is true!!

The fact this person is tweeting this info is not going to go down well with the idiots at Scummit. Its a HUGE NO-NO. Brazil would be great because its in the book but its so freaking expensive to film down there and they dont have the best incentives or tax breaks thats is why if they do its only for 5 days. Hawaii is popular choice for many reasons it has double as parts of Brazil many times. The incentive are good and tax breaks. I would rather have Project Reneemse not cheapen due to location cost. Sorry but true. I do want Brazil but not at the cost of lossing balance. Come on Bill Condon yes a amazingly talented director when it comes to musicals but CGI/3D/IMAX no I am afraid. Yes a Special Effect Co. like ILM or Tippet Studios do the work but EVERYTHING has to be approved by the director and she/he needs to have EXPERIENCE. I mean they could have Bill “shadow” another director with more experience but that would mean budding up to another studio and most studio its a “H3ll NO!!”

Don’t forget that Alice and Jasper go to Brazil/South America to find other vampires and their stories of half vamp/half humans like Renesmee. This would be a good reason to be in the jungles of Brazil?

I read about that some time ago, I even posted a comment about it. I am brazilian and I am very excited about it, hope it happens, I might convince my boyfriend to take a vacay in Rio, lol. Angra dos Reis has the most beautiful beaches and would be perfect for the Isle Esme scenes!!! Oh sweet Jesus…I dont know how I would react to seeing Rob in person.

But I am worried about only 5 days? I want a honeymoon people, not fade to black! Unless maybe they are just thinking of just filming the exterior there and doing the headboard banging, er, I mean interiors on their own sets. LOL!

And the whole thing about that's why it would only b 5 days is bull… I'm guessing it will b a 5 day shoot where ever it will b filmed… DUE TO THE SCRIPT AND MRs IDIOCY!!! Also the fact that it'll probably b mostly scenic stuff and beach stuff… plus amazon stuff… so I wouldn't worry about it being 5 days… plus movies are always over on timing to film… So I'm sure they'll be there longer! lol

I'm guessing they'll get in the island, beach scenes, amazon, arriving in Rio and stuff like that while they are down there…
