Here’s the official lyric video for “I Didn’t Mean It’ by the Belle Brigade from The Breaking Dawn Soundtrack!

The brother-sister pair of the Belle Brigade didn’t mean to write the song for the soundtrack, but it turned out to be a perfect fit-

“We wrote ‘I Didn’t Mean It’ while housesitting for our friend with a piano, we pretty much wrote the whole song in a few hours, which is a lot faster than usual. We were really excited about the song when we wrote it, and it kind of sat around for a little while until we were asked for material for Twilight. The song is about jealousy, so it works well with the whole Twilight love triangle.”

    It must be from Jacob’s prospective when he thinks of Bella being his drug, or from the new scenes that were added that show how Jacob imagines Bella and Edward are spending their honeymoon!

    It’s a great song, I can’t stop singing along “I didn’t mean it baby, hooooo”! :D

    I’m fairly certain this is a Jacob song. Though these songs usually surprise me in where they chose to put them at. I know this sounds off the wall, but it could also be put in the flash backs of Tanya and Edward. Seems kind of funny when you think of Bella freaking out meeting Tanya. I still say Jacob though lol.

    i think it will be when jacob drives his motorcycle over to the cullens after defying sam. he will show up, march through the door, see bella looking sick and the music will stop

    I’ll admit when I first saw the tracklist for BD part 1, I was a bit skeptical. But I’ve really liked what I’ve heard so far :)  
    I really enjoyed this song, it’s different and catchy. And I don’t know why, but it reminds me of the first film, there’s something about the sound.

    But they’ve got to stop this love triangle BS… She’s soon to be a married and happy wife. She loves Edward :)

    It seems obvious to me that this is when Bella attacks Jacob after learning he imprinted on Renesmee. Yes, I believe we’ll see Vampire Bella in Part 1.

    I would not care to guess where this song would play in the movie. I never get my guesses right anyway. But, I do like the song. I do believe I am going to love this soundtrack!

    I had never heard of this band (but that is pretty common with the Twilight Soundtracks) and I really liked it… Very catchy… I see a lot of early Twilight influence on this soundtrack… So far much better than Eclipse Soundtrack!!

    You know, I actually see this song as a honeymoon ‘distractions’ song… I’m always wrong though. That’s what I picture. :)

    Yeah, actually, this is one of the first ideas to kinda make sense to me… I’m really puzzling over this one. No one thinks someone else is cheating… Hmm.

    As for the song, I like the Belle Brigade’s more bluegrassy side, personally. This song is a little annoying and repetitive for me…

    Yeah, the feel of this song really matches that, and Jacob *does* do an about-face when he sees that she really hasn’t been turned yet. But he still seems to be pissed when he sees that Edward has “done this” to her in the trailers so, not sure where they’re going to put this. I’m trying to remember an “I didn’t mean it” kind of moment from the book and am coming up blank… (I mean, the lyrics, “what I said I didn’t mean it” are repeated SO often in this song that they *have* to apply *some*where.)

    Oh! Maybe it’s after Jacob freaks out and ends up manhandling Bella at the wedding?? You’d think that would be more dark/dramatic/anguished than rollicking and angry though…

    when i hear this song, i can really ‘see’ someone driving in a fast car, on the forks highway, surrounded by woods… hahah i dont know, i think it will play in the beginning, when everything is still alright. or when jacob thinks about what bella and edward are doing in brazil….haha

    I love this song, it’s right up my ally it sounds like Macy Gray mixed with The Black Keys and like some classic rock but more poppy. It’s great, high energy. Love it!!!

    I think the song matches when “Jacob falls in love with the little baby” XD and then Edward punches him like in those behind the scenes videos or maybe when Bella ‘fights’ with him (but that’s part 2 I think).
