‘Bel Ami’ Release Date for US is June 8th

It was announced today that ‘Bel Ami’ has been picked up for distribution by Magnolia Pictures in the US with a release date of June 8th 2012!

But strangely it will be available on demand on May 4th before it’s released in theaters.

    YESSSSS!!!!! FINALLY!!!!  i’m not understanding the whole On Demand thing though. I mean I’ll still go see it at the theater…but if its available on demand first….
    i’m not complaining..cuz it’s FINALLY coming to the US!!!

    Went to see Bel ami last night here in England. I must say, I really liked it. I read the book before and was a bit worried about seeing him play such a bastard, but he did a GREAT job. I love him as Edward, not so much in Remember me, and although his acting was pretty good in WFE (hated the actual movie, except perhaps for the elefant), this movie definitely sees him mature as an actor. He held his own with such great actors and I even like Christina Ricci in this one!!!

    Can’t wait to see Bel Ami on Demand if it comes out first. Definitely will see it a few times in the theater. I look for Rob Pattinson tol some day get the Academy Award.

    On Demand is basically like pay-per-view (from what I understand).  I’ve read that a number of studios are going to be experimenting with this “see it before it hits theaters” idea.  I think its to try to build hype for smaller films :)   There is a new Halle Berry movie coming out, and I keep seeing commericals for On Demand “before it hits theaters”.

    I saw it last night, you wont be disappointed! I loved the storyline and Rob was really good! He was kinda a bit of a creep in it but still amazing :) (and of course super hot and some proper raunchy sex scenes :) ) Would def see it again. Think I was born in the wrong era, those dresses!!!! sigh…..
