Dear Friends in the Twilight Fandom,

It has been a very eventful year for all of us. I hope each
and every one of you is enjoying your holiday, wherever you are. Let me take
this moment to say, and I hope I don’t make this too long, but I want to extend
my sincerest depth of gratitude on how grateful I am to be apart of this
wonderful fandom. No other fandom in the world makes me feel more welcomed and
at home than this. I can even tell you how precious and dear our association,
and friendship is. We have gone through so much over the years as a fandom. We
defended our Twilights and it’s cast tirelessly every single day since day
one. We have read the books countlessly
and watch the films excessively and it never gets old. We all laugh and cry and
cheer at our favorite moments. We show our endless support and unconditional
love to our beloved cast no matter what anyone thinks of them. This is truly an
everlasting bond and friendship that is going to last a lifetime. Something as
precious and enduring as our beloved Twilight is immortal because we made it
immortal. We are the only ones who matter. Twilight was never about winning the
approval of critics, or the Academy or even its detractors. They do not and
will never understand how important this is to us. Twilight is all about our
fandom. It was our fandom that made it the success that it is today as a book,
film, and phenomenon following in the footsteps of other sagas before like
Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Whether people like it or not
you cannot deny the fact that our Twilight has made itself a historical
event that can never be duplicated no
matter how many new series will try to even come close to its caliber. We all
know that it may not be the greatest story of all time, or the one of the best
movies of all time, and we know that the cast is not perfect but we all love it
just the same. But at the end of the day
if anybody should be given credit it should be none other than Stephanie Meyer
and her wonderful dream that she had that made this story come to life. And
let’s not forget our beloved characters from good guys to bad guys that we just
can’t get enough of whether it’s Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, Jacob Black,
Charlie, The Cullen family, the Volutri or even those exotic covens. They will always be with us whether we read
them in the books, watch them on screen, write about them in fanfiction, or in
our dreams. Our beloved Twilight is forever. Forever in our fandom, in our dreams, our home, and in our hearts. Thank you.

    Love, Mirandathevampgirl

Ok I want to let something off my chest right now. For the last couple of years I have created and developed a new character in my head. He is in addition to the cullen family. He’s a young man named jonathon jason thomas cullen. He’s in the body of an 18 year old. Bronze hair much like edwards and is very handsome. He loves music all kinds of music and likes to sing a lot. He has a very cloose relationship with edward. Although he looks more like carlisle. Now let me tell u this how did he exist. We’ll let’s just say esme for some reason got pregnant with him. For nine months and was born in june two days before edwards birthday. I am currently and more writing a story about him where he is doing a one man show on stage telling people about himself and his family background with the cullens and company. At the last act people r asking him more questins about himself. It gets really interesting . I am amost done with it though it may be some time before its ready but I will tell u its a damn good one. John Is no different from the other cullens but he is his own person

Ok I’m not quite sure if I’m the nly one who tinks this but even though I love and thorougly enjoy all five movies the first twilight is still the most classical and the best. I mean its like some of u put it bc it was first made to be an indie film and had that indie feel and the lack of big budget and low expectaation it had at the time kind of made it a lot more unique and had that twilight esque vibe to it like the book. Even the cinematography the music and washigton setting pulled out all the stops . I mean never mind that deviations and alternatives were in the works but that’s what u need to expect. I always like to describe the first twilight as a humble beginning. Nobody knew what to expect but somehow by magic within the blink of an eye we got ourselves a mega million dollar franchise. Hollywodd gave birth to a whole new film saga that will stay in peoples memories for a long time.
But then with the previous films starting with new moon a hell of a lot more pressure came. The studio executives got very greedy and saved a lot of that money for themselves rather than invest on some useful things such as wigs and make up as we all know. We were being used as piggy banks. I remember from the time new moon was out we all wanted breaking dawn to be a movie so bad that we contributed major box office dollars which is part of the reason why its still the highest grossing film next to eclipse. That’s the reson why we have breaking dawn and without that we would be left with nothing but just a trilogy and just leave it at that. Sounds strange right? But anyway the rest of the movies were definately hollywood. New moon was the most hollywood out of them all bc of its over the top special effects and visuals and attempting to make it more true to the book so to speak. Eclipse in my opinion even though I don’t hate it but I kind of thought it was a bit overhyped and just didn’t feel much a surprise and of course the action was very dominant and just didn’t feel like a love story that much.
But man oh man the two breaking dawn films have to be my top favorites together. Those two were roller coaster rides to the extreme. Bill. Condon knew what they needed he brought a perfect balance of. Having the romance and some action balance off each other to feel like real movies. The lst one was a walking example on all the good things that a twilight film and regular average film should have and was the icing on our cake.
But the first twilight will remain the most memorable and the best bc its where it all started

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

I hope Will keeps it going and continues to follow all the cast in their future projects.

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

Miranda,Twilight has always been my fav of all the movies too. Like Kristen said at BD1 premiere, Twilight had something that the others didn’t have, that just made it special.

  • TeamEdward_Bella4ever

I hope Stephanie had a great BD and a big thank you for Twilight, that allowed us to make so many amazing friends through this wonderful Twilight journey.

  • D. Martin

Wow! She looks fantastic here! Is it me or does she look thinner?

  • twilight_girl

I agree with you too. It was essentially just perfect. It was one of those movies some people loved some didn’t, but you would be so cold to not admire the sceneries. the setting. Forks. The forest. It was so unique. There was never a movie like that. If it could that movie could even possibly stand alone. Catherine did a great job with it.The setting of the place seemed so natural like it just grew there on its own.It defenitly starts with a humble beginning.

You are so right :’)! For us at least, twilight will live as long as edward and bella, forever. Happy new year!

  • EL304

I agree, the first film is classic. I just rewatched it twice lol. Part 2 is my favorite, though it is hard to choose, because as you put much more eloquently, they were are amazing and had positives and negatives :)
