E!Online has a new interview with Twilight Saga screenwriter, Melissa Rosenberg. When asked about the infamous Breaking Dawn birth scene, this is what she had to say -
Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg tells me she’s been in Baton Rouge with director Bill Condon doing rewrites for the scripts for the two BD movies.
“We’re working on it,” Rosenberg says of baby Renesmee’s less-than-pretty arrival. “And we’re working on it to be as intense as it is in the book.”
Yikes. That could be a whole lotta gore.
“I don’t think it’s about the amount of blood you show,” Rosenberg says. “It’s about the intensity of it. It’s on their faces. It’s all from Bella’s point of view when you’re seeing what’s going. It should feel visceral. I think it’s going to be pretty intense.”
What’s Rosenberg’s ETA on the final scripts? “It better damn well be before the beginning of November,” she says, “because that’s when we start shooting.”
Um yeah Melissa, it better be. Maybe you should .. I don’t know .. GET ON THAT!!
Kayla is the little girl up for the role of Bella’s daughter in the new film in the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Kayla is pictured with her adorable brother Daniel who has already had two castings since signing with us this month! Daniel will be submitting a video audition for another role in the Twilight film! Good Luck guys!!!!
Kayla is an absolutely gorgeous little girl! She has brown eyes (like Renesmee), and could probably pass as Bella and Edward’s daughter. But there is a huge problem .. don’t you think she looks a bit too old?
DailyBlam.com is reporting that they received insider information, stating that the final fight scene in Breaking Dawn Part 2, will be filmed just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana -
Recently, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the highly lucrative film series The Twilight Saga, announced that filming for the franchise’s final chapter, Breaking Dawn, will partially take place in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A source within the Louisiana Film Commission has disclosed to me that members of the Breaking Dawn production crew have already scouted out the location they are planning to use for the film; which the studio is releasing in two parts.
The scene will be the final confrontation between the Cullen clan, who are joined by the Quileute wolf pack and their friends, and the Volturi. The scene, most of which is taken directly from the novel, has been extended to include several physical fights. It is expected that many Twilight fans will be flocking to Louisiana when the studio begins filming in the area; which is why the exact area the production team has decided on is being kept tightly under wrap.
Interesting. I was under the impression that all the exterior filming was going to take place in Vancouver? We shall see!
Rami Malek confirmed exclusively to Entertainment Tonight, that he is joining the Twilight Saga cast as Benjamin, in Breaking Dawn Part 2!
Here is some info on his character -
Benjamin is a member of the Egyptian Coven who is described as a young boyish-looking vampire with midnight hair, olive pallor, and an oddly cheerful look. Benjamin has a gift of element manipulation and is able to physically influence the elements (earth, air, water, and fire).
Exciting! I think he will be perfect as Benjamin! I absolutely LOVED him in The War At Home (which Jackson Rathbone also had a guest role on that show, playing opposite of Rami!).

The Twilight Examiner has the latest deets on the Breaking Dawn casting directors -
For Vancouver-based casting, Stuart Aikins will be the point person, while Fincannon and Associates Casting will represent casting efforts in Louisiana. Both Aikins and Fincannon and Associates are working with and under Los Angeles’ Debra Zane (the previously announced casting director for the project(s)).
Note that these are the only official names associated with casting for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and/or The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
According to the AFP any talks of Bella and Edward’sIsle Esme honeymoon being filmed in Rio may have come to a complete stop due to a hotel shootout -
THE cast and crew of a hit vampire movie series said today they may abandon plans to shoot scenes from the final movie in Rio de Janeiro after a deadly shootout there last weekend between police and a gang who took hostages in an upmarket tourist hotel.
Riofilme, the city’s agency for promoting movie production, said that the production company for Twilight, Summit Entertainment, was in talks with Rio de Janeiro state officials who were trying to convince them to stay.
The original plans were for scenes from the movie Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment in the vampire fantasy, to be played out in the Brazilian city which is famed in equal measure for its spectacular beaches and its rampant street crime.
Can’t say that I blame Summit Entertainment. However, is there really ANY place in the world that is 100% safe? As long as Isle Esme is done perfectly, it could be filmed in my local river for all I care!!
